What is an attendance support panel? and will it magically stop DD from getting ill?

As tbh I can't see the point of it?

Yes she has been ill a lot
Yes I know she keeps missing school

Yes I would 'fix' it if I could - but unless I can put her in a bubble she will get bugs/illnesses & I can't make them go away

I guess - I feel my professional integrity is being questioned

If I hadn't approached them I would understand (you know parent sticks head in sand) but I have been open honest & above board; and have been treated with distrust suspicion and (almost) threats

I remember that thing about professional integrity.

Having spent my life in the academic world, it really grated to have to listen to a half hour lecture on the importance of education from an EWO who then had to ask for my help to fill in her own forms as she didn't understand the wording and couldn't spell her own answers. Great advertisement for education, I don't think.

But it's all water under the bridge now. The only thing that mattered was that dd eventually got the support she needed. If that couldn't happen without my turning up at meetings and swallowing any sarcastic comments while providing yet another set of copies of dd's medical letters, then that was a price worth paying.

Hell I am working with the young carers group to get a workshop set up in the high school

The fact that I had a fortnight to wait for the appointment doesn't help
