How many parents would seriosuly consider stab proof body armour for their kids?

How many parents would seriously consider stab proof body armour for their kids to be worn under clothes on a regular basis? combined with parkour and

'Serious' ie krav maga (what they teach mossad the Isreali Secret Service), Ninjitsu (as in assasin ninja) martial arts

How many would want their kids carrying something like pepper spray or a taser if they could?

Given the levels of knife and other extream violence

Look at the papers... barely a week goes past withtou some teenger getting battered to death or stabbed.

Life is different from when we were kids

Now instead of threatening to beat you up if you dont hand over pocketmoney gangs of teengers will 'shank' kids withtou a second thoguht as they beleive themselves to be 'dissed' is disrestected as their victem looked back at them when being abused or answered back when being insulted

thats the world kids live in nowadays

I live in rural Devon and two children have been stabbed at the local secondary in the last 18 months. There were three stabbings in the last month in the next town, one resulting in death. Knives are all the rage with the young and with-it round here.

Mind you, I would fancy learning some serious martial arts, Isreali Secret Service style, for when I am , er "bothered".

Mind you, if I had a taser would be bloody good fun.

A child at a shcool I am considering for my DS brought a taser home form his holiday and used it in school. Myfriends are that I'm considering this school, knowing there are taser nuters on the loose there. (Actually, I think it's been taken off him by the police by now)

Point of picking something like Krav Maga is its generally thought of one of the more practical...

First lesson dealing with chokes, bat like attacks and knives in the first lessons. They do it realisitically and include thigs like in cars, behind tables sitting etc.

Unlike the likes of judo or karate.

If you are going to pick something pick something likely to do the job.

Saw a company selling slash proof hoodies but the problem is its getting stabbed that does the serious usually fatal damage

its a case of do you want your kids to reach the age of 24?

So are high schools the most dangerous place on earth then, or should I be wearing stab proof clothes every time I leave the house.

Personally I think it's much more important for my children to have the verbal skills to get them out of sticky situations, and to be able to walk away.

Should all staff in high schools be provided with body armour? Should I employ some low key body guards for my DC's?

Should I have my children micro chiped and tagged with tracking devices?

kids have to walk home from school... verbal skills dont always help

and much depends on where you live...

some kids dont go to school as to go means crossing another estate hwere they would be killed for
disrespecting turf
