Hi all... what a nerve racking period this is...good luck to everyone!

On the topic of offer holder open days, Radnor said theirs is on 6 Feb and Claremont on 8 Feb.... so next Monday and Wednesday. How are we expected to organise ourselves if we don't even know about offers until potentially this friday?!

QuiteAJourney · 30/01/2023 13:54

@Dallasdays I would have thought that, at least, they would give one week's notice (even that is not a lot, tbh).
So hopefully both arriving quite soon (fingers crossed for all awaiting).

Thanks all for the warm messages! It feels the wait to Feb 10 is a tad easier now.

EweCee · 30/01/2023 15:11

I know what you mean @momomamiko we got our first offer on Friday. Although not originally our first choice school, it helps to get one in the bag! And who knows, our 'not first choice school' might be the 'right choice school' for our child!

momomamiko · 30/01/2023 15:16

yes indeed, same for us and all cards on the table until d-day :) @EweCee

QuiteAJourney · 30/01/2023 15:17

Hi, a question: does anyone know at what time did the interviews started at GL and at what time they finished? Just to understand the numbers…

Re: Hampton 11+, interview/offer ratio? and offer/accept ratio guesstimates

The school booklets says they welcome around 160 students for Year 7. I'm not sure if this 160 is including 10+ and their feeder school?
Anyway, say they take 100 students from 11+ candidates.
I read they had 800+ candidates this year and 35% got interviewed. Means 280-300ish got interviewed.
Say, historically if their offer / accept ratio is 70%ish, then the school will likely make offers to 140-150 candidates.
Then is it fair to say, roughly half of the boys who were invited for the interview will likely get offers?

Also, if we assume there are “160” spots for 11+, then of 300 boys interviewed, 230 will get offers?

Any thoughts? Thanks!
