Do you know when these schools are likely to send out interview invitations?

@clevud. Ah me too plus plus.

We had a ceremonial burning of all 11+ stuffs at the weekend - cathartic it was too.

WildJango · 23/01/2020 15:54

Alwaysannoyedaboutsomething - SHHS

WildJango · 23/01/2020 15:55

Iwantapony · 23/01/2020 17:23

We're still waiting to hear from SHHS. Re-reading their email it's not completely clear that they email if the answer is no. Does anyone know? TIA

Paribus · 23/01/2020 17:37

When i spoke with the registrar earlier this week she said “we will let you know by Thursday whether or not your dd has been invited for an interview”- so i assume it involves emailing everyone?

Iwantapony · 23/01/2020 17:45

Thanks Paribus - it would seem needlessly cruel just not to tell people, but it's getting quite late in the day ...

sun73 · 23/01/2020 17:53

SHHS delayed to the weekend!

Iwantapony · 23/01/2020 17:55

Just got an email that we will know "by the weekend" - the waiting continues. Grim

Paribus · 23/01/2020 18:15

Surely “by weekend” means they will let us know tomorrow??

Paribus · 24/01/2020 15:29

Any news?

PatienceVirtue · 24/01/2020 16:35

According to another site it's because they didn't get the results back from the central markers for the consortium papers when they were expecting to.

From our experience, they're usually pretty efficient and sensitive to needs of parent/child.

Paribus · 24/01/2020 16:45

It appears that SHHS are calling those invited for an interview???? Calling 🙈🙈🙈?????

rawan83 · 25/01/2020 03:17

?

BruceFoxton · 25/01/2020 08:35

Agree with what’s been said - as they’re selecting who to interview they depend on results getting to them on time but the results were delayed from CEM so they haven’t been able to do the selecting

Popetteparis · 25/01/2020 16:43

Any tips re to FHR interviews pls? Thanjs

sun73 · 27/01/2020 13:54

Does anyone know how the North London Collegiate interviews went? Also, when are SHHS interviews?

rawan83 · 27/01/2020 18:19

Did anyone get any news from Francis Holland about an interview yet?

Popetteparis · 27/01/2020 20:17

Yes we have received an invitation letter on Saturday via post. (FH Regents Park)

clevud · 28/01/2020 08:41

What's the logic behind the order of interviews? Do they start with higher scores?

OP posts:
PatienceVirtue · 28/01/2020 09:24

They do it in batches of primary schools - my kids' school is a state primary that rather unfortunately is next in the alphabet to two Hampstead girls' preps which meant it was a bit intimidating for them as they were surrounded by gaggles of girls who knew each other.

On the other hand, they stood out in their polyester fleece.

clevud · 28/01/2020 09:41

@PatienceVirtue thanks! that's nice to know, I though they'd start with the highest scores, which maybe is the case for other schools. Definitely my DD will stand out in her polyester sweater with a distinctive colour uses by hundreds of other state schools.
