I've read through lots of chat re 2019 but can't see a 2020 10/11+ 2020 thread. How are your DS's getting on?

I wish we'd hear today. I think they post letters today... so probably by post tomorrow...

I remember with DS1, our post arrived really late, at about 2.30pm. I had been watching that year's thread obsessively all day and seeing everyone getting their letters - I was a complete wreck by the time ours finally arrived!

I think W & T include separate offer letters to the boys, which is a nice touch. Or at least they used to.

T certainly did a separate letter for my DDs 6th form offer earlier this year. Hers was even posted separately, but for 10+ several years ago it was in a separate envelope in the main pack.

Does anyone know if T will offer a 'deciders' tour? Given that it's half term next week I wondered when that might be and what the deadline for acceptances tends to be...

Last year, offers came in the post the day after they were posted. Deadline for acceptance of offers is normally mid March. I would say though if you know your aren’t going to accept a place don’t hold on to the place.

T did offer a decider tour last year, as did other schools.

We wouldn't hold on as realise that's unfair. My son just wants to go on a tour as he didn't join me last time - he's keen, despite that, though! Fingers crossed for everyone that they get the news they want and the kids end up in the right schools for them...

Yes, the acceptance deadline is usually after the national state school offer day.

National offer day is the 2nd and acceptance deadlines are Friday the 6th. I've noted that Emanuel has a noon deadline - not sure if others specify a time, but I'm sure that will be in offers pack.

Thank goodness I work from home on Friday so I can keep my eye on the letterbox. DH asks every few weeks when we should hear. Drives me bonkers! And even DS has opted for a playdate tomorrow and said he could wait until 5:30 for his news.

The T deciders tour is the 26th Feb.

That is really good.that the schools send a letter for DS... That way he gets to open it...

Really hoping he postman comes soon. I have to leave for work at 11.45. My husband is working from home today and he has threatened to take pictures of the envelopes (we are expecting the outcomes of 3 schools today) and send them every hour just to wind me up! He better not open though!!!

@Restl3ss, they did not say. HeadTeacher was very excited about DS when we saw him, the Sports assessment went really well, so we are really surprised with the outcome....
