Brit School reserve list - please HELP!

Hi... My DS applied for the y10 music strand and we were thrilled to get an audition.. then a long wait and we are on the reserve list. Im devastated but he still thinks he is going to get in. Does anyone have any experience of the reserve list for Music? Does it move? I can see how the lists for drama and musical theatre would do as there are other schools which offer it, but there's nothing like it for music. If its hopeless I guess I will have to come up with some ways of softening the blow... Please help if you have any info. xxxx

How did it end then? I see this post from 2016 and today in 2021 I am in the same situation with my daughter y10. The problem is that we made a request as in year. We live in London she is attending Sylvia Young school which is a wonderful school but unfortunately we can't spend all that money anymore. Of course the Brit would be the best choice even if she is a bit far. But do you know other free schools where she can study musical theater or music?

So its that time of year again...my daughter just got an email from Brits stating that she has been unsuccessful in her application but has been offered a place on the reserve list for Dance Strand. I've emailed the school and they are unable to tell me where she is on the reserve list, but have confirmed that there are 21 kids on this list! I have gone back to ask whether the 21 is across all strands or just for Dance. Waiting to hear back but if anyone else has any further information that would be great. Just want to manage her expectations!
