Good luck to everyone. My ds starts tomorrow. Double and triple checked that he didn't have an exam today!

Ds still has a couple of football matches which I feel a little nervous about, until they are over. Also, heard on the news that a sickness bug is going around the county I live in. It mainly affects under 5 years old, but you never know,if this year is different!

Ds had his last day at school on Friday, and seem to switch off a little. Cooked his favourite tea to celebrate (burgers and chips). Today he seems to have spent equal amount of time on biology and an aircraft landing computer game,

I was away over the weekend. Ds is someone who can't do a late night, so was slightly annoyed when I heard that he went to bed late on Saturday. 9pm bedtimes from now on!

needastrongone · 03/05/2016 15:39

Good luck to those who are taking exams today, and associated parents!

Not sure either what has happened to Dream, although it looks like her posts were withdrawn at her own request? Perhaps she was outed? Hope they are all okay anyway.

Still 2 weeks to go before DS starts his exams, but it seems ever closer.

flatmouse · 03/05/2016 15:57

Spent hours at weekend doing final revision timetable/calendar showing exams/compulsory revision sessions, and putting in subject revision. DS happy with it, and feels he should be ok with the number of sessions he has left to do for each subject. He's still fairly chilled (not starting til 17th). He is excited about getting prom suit in half term! :) Hope all those who have already started have found it OK!

BitOutOfPractice · 03/05/2016 16:00

Just waiting for her to call for a life

BitOutOfPractice · 03/05/2016 16:23

Just picked her up. She said it went "really really well" Grin

ellaballoo · 03/05/2016 16:58

DD said it went fine barring question 2 which didn't have much to analyse

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/05/2016 18:57

One relieved household here - it went fine. Apparently 'bit of cloth' is not a powerful phrase thank you very much twitter.

Hope all went well for those with exams today. Two weeks today and it will all have started here. DS2 has recarpeted his room with paper. I'm sure it means something to him Hmm

Mysillydog · 03/05/2016 19:34

Did preferred it to the Y6 SATS exam on caves and caving yes she bears grudges for years.
She finished and didn't run out of the exam room screaming so that's a positive!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/05/2016 20:35

I'd forgotten about that Mysillydog!

Hope today's iGCSE papers went well for those who had them.

The CIE Biology iGCSE has a new syllabus, so there is only one sample available for each paper. DS1 spent part of the bank holiday yesterday doing the sample paper for tomorrow's ATP exam, then diligently going through the mark scheme.

This morning he decided to go into school for 9am for an optional hour-long revision session on the Biology ATP exam. Guess what they spent the hour doing? Grin

228agreenend · 03/05/2016 21:00

My ds has biology tomorrow tomorrow. He's been printing of stuff as well. not sure how much revision he's done, but he has landed a few planes on a computer programme.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/05/2016 21:09

oh no TheSecond!

Good luck to them tomorrow!!

derektheladyhamster · 03/05/2016 22:40

Spanish oral went better than expected, English was just OK - it's not one of his strong subjects and he's predicted a b, so fingers crossed he's managed a C, next English language paper is Friday!

Bluelilies · 03/05/2016 23:17

Well DSD seems to have made it in to school with no issues (sore wrist/cold/vague sickness not materialised) and says the exam was "easy"Smile So that's good. She had biology tomorrow too, but says it's the easy alternative to practical one that doesn't really require a lot of knowledge. Hoping she's right on that.

HesMyLobster · 03/05/2016 23:29

Wow, it all suddenly feels very real!

We were away for the weekend at Dance competitions, so just caught up.

Well done to all dc who have had exams today (and to you all for keeping so calm! Flowers)

I hope Dream and her DD are ok

2 weeks to go here. Loving the exam breakfast idea, and the teeny gift after each exam.
I've made DD an 'exam basket' full of stationary, snacks etc which we'll give to her soon. Her birthday is next week but don't think she'd appreciate it so much as a birthday present! So will probably save it til just before 1st exam.

Good luck to those with exams tomorrow.

ShanghaiDiva · 04/05/2016 00:00

the second of her name - good luck to your DS for Biology today :)
My ds also taking this one.

littledrummergirl · 04/05/2016 07:12

Good luck.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 04/05/2016 07:48

Good luck to the biology people today!

Apparently twitter are still chuntering on about the english igcse. I feel it is going to continue to be a source of comfort/amusement/righteous indignation as we go through these next few weeks.
