GCSE remark - worth it?

DS has calculated that he is 10 UMS points off the next highest mark in one of his exams (taking into account each of the three modules). He's also calculated that he's 2 UMS points off another one, in one module, that would take him into the next mark bracket.

Worth a remark?

He and one of his older siblings now tie in having the best GCSE results. He made me get out her certificates from 11 years ago tonight so he could check. (They both got their only B in French).

I just found out that it's 4 that dd is.having g re marked ... 3 we pay for.and the school have offered to pay for I gcse English which was 4 out

I'm waiting for DD's remark in Eng Lit, but I really don't expect it to go up. Unfortunately, in her case, the problem was with the controlled assessment (the school has admitted a failure, but nothing that can be done about it now). She scored two good As at the exams, which is what she was expected to get. We went for the remark as a last chance resort as she is only 3 points away from an overall A.

We only put it a bit over a week ago, so don't expect results until maybe next week?
