DD1 is stressing massively. She just got up having had a nightmare about not getting enough points to get to university.

anyone else getting results tomorrow?

Anyone? No one?

Hi Cervix, this might be us in three years, dtd2 is looking more and more like a good candidate. So hand-hold until someone else comes along!

PS - good holiday?

nemno · 04/07/2014 18:30

Not this year but we've done this twice. The permutations of one DC's results were not quite what was wanted but it all worked out ok.

Good luck.

AtYourCervix · 04/07/2014 18:33

Hello. Holiday has been up and down. I've eaten a lot of cakes and carbs and been drunk buckets of gin.

She is counting down the hours poor dear. Keeps swinging from 'if i get more points i might reapply to somewhere else, to, i'm going to fail and have to work in waitrose forever'

Good luck!

Ds will get his results tomorrow at the odd time of 2.45pm. Very anxious here too, or at least Dh and I are!

Good luck to your Dd. Apparently the Ucas website is closed until Monday for essential maintenance, so any faint glimmer we had of being out of our misery early has been removed.

Ds needs a good result in the subject he has chosen to study, but that was the one exam that went unexpectedly badly! Typical.

Thinking of you at 4 pm!

AtYourCervix · 05/07/2014 13:58

Sitting in traffic on M5. 2 hours to go!!!!

I feel nauseous. DD1 is v quiet.

Hope that you get the news you need!

AtYourCervix · 05/07/2014 16:14

29! Hurrah! Got in to her first choice.

OP posts:
educationrocks1 · 05/07/2014 16:33

Congrats! Can I ask what's she going to study?

boys3 · 05/07/2014 17:01

AYC congrats to your DD! A levels here I'm afraid so 14th Aug still seems a long way off.

Presume Track updates with IB results, you haven't got to await the rest of us for formal confirmation?

AtYourCervix · 05/07/2014 17:19

She's wanting to do geography. Considering options now.

educationrocks1 · 05/07/2014 17:39

Wishing her all the very best. Enjoy the "considering options" part Wink

AtYourCervix · 05/07/2014 17:42

It's lovely to know she has options. She's taking a year off. Travelling, working, having lovely fun. Lucky soandso.

educationrocks1 · 05/07/2014 17:51

More importantly, what are you going to do now the wait is over?

AtYourCervix · 05/07/2014 18:03

Drink gin Grin

FreshorangeforDd · 05/07/2014 19:12

Well done your Dd! I'm drinking gin too in anticipation of tomorrow. Track will update after Monday 11 am as is offline for essential maintenance....interesting timing.

Very pleased for you both.

AtYourCervix · 05/07/2014 19:37

Bloody daft timing. What were they thinking?

Fingers crossed for BoyOrange.

Congratulations to your DD!

Hairylegs47 · 07/07/2014 01:13

Congratulations everyone who passed!

My son failed.

He's gutted

We are too.

No idea what to do now.

AtYourCervix · 07/07/2014 06:44

Bugger.

What does school say?

OP posts:
Hairylegs47 · 07/07/2014 07:58

I haven't spoken to them yet. He can't resist/try again at the school as we've moved country.
We're giving it a few days - it's a huge blow tbh, he's always been in the top 5%, maybes that's the problem, he didn't put the effort in. Sad
He wasn't going to Uni for a couple of years - he's applied to go on a mission, he's on such a downer he thinks he'll get knocked back for that too - and if nothing else he has his High School Diploma and SATs so the US may be where he does go to Uni, if it comes to it.
I'm part shocked, part sad, part steaming mad at him! That's not very helpful at all for him.

rivierliedje · 07/07/2014 20:55

My sister got her results too: 35 yay! Especially as she's only done the last two years of schooling in English. So proud.

marcopront · 08/07/2014 20:44

Hairylegs, what did he get? What are the individual subject grades? Is he close to boundaries. Is it worth getting remarks?
