Charity being funded to promote "chestfeeding" of newborns by males

How do people feel about transwomen (males) breastfeeding babies? I feel very concerned that newborn babies are being fed an experimental liquid, to enable the transwoman to feel affirmed.

It's child abuse.

SummerSally · 28/07/2026 04:02

First post nails it.

That half a million quid of public money could be put to so much good use. It is insane it’s being used to support child abusers.

zebrazoop · 28/07/2026 04:48

That’s one of the most disturbing things I’ve read in a while , seriously wtf. The world has gone mad

Mousekatoolsattheready · 28/07/2026 06:24

Fuck me that’s warped

Motnight · 28/07/2026 06:27

Even babies being pulled into what appears to be cosplay.

WhatNoRaisins · 28/07/2026 06:44

I thought the term chestfeeding was for transmen that want to give birth and breastfeed whilst pretending that these things have nothing to do with female bodies. I'd have thought a transwoman that wants to breastfeed would want the same term to go along with the real woman narrative.

It's all very confusing and doesn't seem to be about what's right for the babies involved.

LoveHearts69 · 28/07/2026 07:06

This is ridiculous and makes a mockery of breastfeeding/won’t help attitudes around it. We need to be investing in properly training all health professionals to help mothers who want to breastfeed.

EveryoneIsPointingNow · 28/07/2026 08:46

These men are not feeding babies, they are having babies suck on their nipples to turn them on. It's a fetish, which will no doubt escalate, and the fact that public money is being put into enabling this is beyond appalling. It's fuck all to do with 'affirming' more to do with, yet again, working the normalisation of abuse of babies and children into society. There are none so blind as those who will not see.

HermioneWeasley · 28/07/2026 08:53

It is child abuse. It’s obscene that any money let alone public funds are being given to this

Murraystreet · 28/07/2026 08:59

It's horrendous. Has anyone got a gender critical MSP they contact about this? Mine is utterly hopeless so not even sure it's worth bothering.

BCBird · 28/07/2026 09:02

Wtaf has the world come to?

Shedmistress · 28/07/2026 09:05

According to reserchers 'Lactation induction in transgender women is a clinical and research priority in the field of breastfeeding medicine'

Does anyone ever in these organisations have the guts to just say NO to these perverts?

Bakeittillyoumakeit · 28/07/2026 09:08

Vile.

VodkaAndSoda · 28/07/2026 09:12

This just shouldn’t happen.

There is already a perfectly good alternative to breastfeeding - formula. Trans women wanting to feed their children can use that. And would, if they’re putting their babies first.

Would milk from male bodies provide the same level of nutrition even if it is possible to provide?

Surely public money would be better used to improve breastfeeding rates in women.

AuntieBiotics · 28/07/2026 09:16

100%. So many women who give up breastfeeding before they wanted to because they hit problems and there's no help, advice or support. What a waste of money to indulge a few men.

AuntieBiotics · 28/07/2026 09:21

And stating the bleeding obvious to all of us who have fed babies - using whatever method - it's not about us as mothers. It's about the BABY. Ensuring the baby gets the nutrition it needs to grow and thrive. Mother's preference/needs is secondary to that.

Men "chestfeeding" is not about what is best for the baby. It will never be best for the baby to feed it a drug-induced fluid. Fuck me, mothers (the proper, female sort) are told to avoid ibuprofen or Piriton when breastfeeding, but it's OK for men to be taking god knows what and then stick their nipple in a baby's mouth? Well no, it's not OK.

WhatNoRaisins · 28/07/2026 09:51

I also think that it's better to try and normalise breastfeeding especially for women from communities where it isn't so normal but who really want to give it a go.

harderthanIexpected · 28/07/2026 10:06

"Defenceless and innocent babies are not props to be used to affirm delusional men"

Quite.

RoseField1 · 28/07/2026 10:10

I couldn't breastfeed because I have breast hypoplasia ie insufficient mammary tissue. I cannot believe that any of these men who induce minor breast tissue growth through taking high levels of artificial hormones will ever have sufficient mammary tissue to produce much milk at all. This is such a massive waste of time, energy and money.

EveryoneIsPointingNow · 28/07/2026 10:38

It's not milk.

Solentseeker · 28/07/2026 10:57

It’s obviously utterly vile but will anyone in public life ever say no to these perverts?

Shedmistress · 28/07/2026 11:02

Solentseeker · 28/07/2026 10:57

If anyone says 'NO' they are accused of 'HETERONORMATIVITY' and cancelled.

TonTonMacoute · 28/07/2026 11:11

That public money is being spent to sacrifice innocent babies to this ordeal, so that a bunch of men can get their rocks off living out their fetishistic fantasy is absolutely appalling.

Hopefulsalmon · 28/07/2026 11:18

Anyone working with children has safeguarding (rightly) drummed into them. How can this not be a concern? The babies will not receive the nutrients they need and in what other circumstance would children being forced to suck male nipples not be classed as paedophile SA?

2026Mummy · 28/07/2026 11:25

Who decided to set it up? Why is it not on the news? Maybe someone contact stv so it's out in the open.
