Not Scottish myself but just wishing to draw as many people's attention to the Employment Tribunal currently taking place in Edinburgh.

Really relevant if you believe women should be entitled to same sex therapy in the eventuality she may need it after sexual trauma. It's quite enlightening as to the attitude towards female rape victims (clue, it ain't great).

Thank you for posting. Women of Scotland would be outraged by this case if only mainstream media would dare to report.

It is beyond belief that a service which exists purely for the purpose of supporting female victims of male violence would focus on the wants and feelings of staff including the male CEO at the expense of their service users.

The testimony has been absolutely mind boggling.

Yeh I think the only way things will change is with wider public awareness, debate and protest (of any description).

I don't think the government is likely to want to challenge this. They have in fact created the environment in which this mess has been allowed to grow.

same as my comment re behaviour in schools, why was common sense not applied here? Why was a man employed by rcs when it has always been a place for women run by women? Why can’t women who are extremely vulnerable be allowed male-free spaces? Whoever runs these places are nuts!

Common sense really isn't that common unfortunately.

The tribunal tweets transcripts make for astonishing reading.

It's an absolute outrage that someone bioigically and legally male was given a position reserved for females under the equality act.

It's an absolute outrage that they have then imposed their beliefs on the staff such that female rape survivors will be gaslit into believing no men work there.

It's absolutely appalling that a rape survivor was turned away and not told of alternatives for asking for female only care.

It's an absolute disgrace. I'm so angry.

Scotland is captured.

Putting him in was a deliberate political appointment designed to undermine women's right to single-sex care in Scotland in the most sensitive of female services with the most traumatised women.

It was a targeted capture - it's explicitly referenced as an example in the Eq Act as the one place it's not appropriate to have men-who-say- they're-women. They destroyed it to prove they can destroy everything women have.

Transactivists took over women's services and flipped them 180° from their purpose (towards satisfying men's desires and away from women being able to heal from what men’s desires do to them).
