The Scottish govt continue to refuse to add ppl from the vaccine trials to NHS Inform.
We get no QR code .
We have to isolate as if unvaccinated.
We have to pay to travel, in some area we don't get in.

After 4 injection, 5 blood tests, multiple medical exams, ultrasound scans, 2 Covid screening and 1 month of online diaries. We deserve better.

The FM, HY and any SNP member refuse to engage on this.
I've now contacted close to 45 ppl about this of whom only 7 replied.

We are fully vaccinated, and should have the same rights as those who got NHS vaccines

I finally got my petition to parliament completed. If anyone would sign, and share it I'd be grateful

I'm on the Jansen trial in England. It's been recognised as effective and shows on my NHS app.
Have NHS Scotland said why they won't follow suit?
The Jansen trial people right at the beginning said we would never be disadvantaged by being on the trail.

Oh we were promised exactly the same thing. It's in writing by UK govt and G7.

For 3 months I've emailed asking Why are we not on it ? When will we be added? When will the self-isolation rules change?
I'm not going to obey the isolation thing, I'm fighting it as whoever thought it was acceptable is a twat.

They refuse to answer.
They've given us an other interim letter which has no QR, which was supposedly short term til we were added. We then received the interim letter which says we will get yet another letter with a QR code at "a date in the future"
They've treated us appallingly. I'm 12 months in2 to go , and we are at a disadvantage.

Yet apparently if NS states publicly you're not at a disadvantage then that's a fact. And when your MSP is an SNP you won't achieve anything.

The head of the LibDem has agreed to take this on despite me not even being in his constituency.

The sad thing us this isn't even a political issue. In England they had admin issues at the start they got an apology and 13000 ppl were added in 6 weeks.

We were lied to and told they couldn't add ppl from trials and NHS couldn't be on the same website. They actually built a second website, then lied saying it was still being built , when we'd had access to it for 4 weeks as the clinic said we'd be on it.

Following advice from KB ( vaccine taskforce,). I've named them on twitter. We had an article printed in The Guardian this week.

What makes me angry is I've now emailed around 49 ppl about this. I've had replies from about 10.

This week I spoke to UK DHSC and told them to uphold their promise to all UK residents not just England. And now I'm asking for phone numbers of ppl. I'm not doing email.

The SNP have been posting about the Valneva trial, but it's not because they care about the ppl in the trial. It's about £ as it was being made in Scoland ( its now uncancelled) . I posted saying if ppl have 2 options then to get out, that got deleted.

This same SNP stood in Westminster and said the English health sec should resign over Valneva.
So I posted on twitter tagging her mentioning Valneva and asked who should be fired for Novavax? NS or HY.... no reply but it shows their double standards.

I've never had to deal with politicians much. However the SNP are the most obstructive, rude and uncaring party.

Oh and if you live in Scotland and you disagree with anything you're screwed.

Stephen Kerr is the Tory Whip and would probably enjoy making some noise about this or Murdo Fraser. I've generally had responses from Tories above anyone else.

Do you know that you had the live vaccine on the trial?

Yes the trial had a placebo arm and a live vaccine arm and they were then switched around so all trial participants had the live vaccine they just didn't know when.

I'm not sure what you think the trial people can do? It's Scot gov who need to give the vaccine trial participants the same status as every other vaccinated person.

It would be the trial team who would liaise with the govt to get the trial vaccine recognised and recorded as being a valid vaccine which can be used for your passport etc.
How is the vaccine performing?
The Jansen one performed very well - could that make the difference?

Our data has been sitting at the registry since May. I have it in writing from them that the Scottish govt won't allow us to be added. Despite England registering 13000 ppl.

I've now emailed around 47 ppl, including my MSP, local counsellors, MSPs for the NE , NS , NS aide, Humza Yousaf, the minister that covers Covid Qs
the shadow health secretary all msps from all parties in my area, the Covid recovery team, HSCD, G7, UK HSCD, NHS inform , Covid Hotline, my GP, chief medical officer plus 2 deputies and their aid, chief pharmaceutical officer, my health board executives. Plus ppl you'll hopefully never have to engage with.

I've had helpful replies from about 5. Around 36 have not replied for 3 months.

Now time to call on UK govt to ensure promises to UK volunteers are abided by in all of the UK

The clinic have done their job. This is a govt decision not only to refuse to register with us. They refuse to communicate with us at all.

Their attitude shows they don't give a damn about us. We could have spoken to a journalist in June, but the rules were different then.

The FM doesn't get to publicly state we are not at a disadvantage, as she is not in our situation.

I've found the only officials that try are Scottish LibDem/Conservative.

@MrsFin tbe drug doesn't need an EUA for registration. Its a good vaccine. As good as Pfizer and can be used in all age groups. With no worrying health problems. Great science, but poor admin/leadership.

All the Scottish govt need to do is register us with a generic vaccine like NHS England did for 13000 and the CDC in America did for around 29600 ppl.
The govt could do this today if they chose to , or any of the days in the past 3 months. They chose not to.

I signed up for a 12 months blinded trial with 2 injections.
I'm now 12 months in with 2 to go, still blinded. I've had 4 injections 5 blood tests, ultrasound scans, multiple medical exams 2 Covid screens 1 month online diary. Plus 7/8 hours in a clinic. I didn't even get a glass of water. (In America I'd be £1800 better off.)

If after all this the govt think it's OK to withhold from us what ppl with NHS Vaccines get handed to them, then I have no words....

Being blinded is irrelevant. The Novavax trial was a double blind trial. Meaning everyone was vaccinated in October 2020 or April 2021.
In England they registered everyone under generic and put the date as April. With people still blinded. As did the CDC.

Scotland could do exactly the same. I could ask to be unblinded tomorrow, it wouldn't change anything.

I, and others have caught the govt in multiple lies over this. And they think it's OK to just leave us hanging for an indefinite length of time.

I think they have zero ethics.

I'm sorry they've known about it since June . If someone can't do their job for 3 months, find someone who can.

BJ actually publicly thanked volunteers. And JVT got this issue sorted in 6 weeks adding almost 13000 people who are still blinded.

NS has only ever thanked us when asked a direct Q.
They've done nothing in 3 months to resolve it.

Did you not read the thread? ALL trial participants had two doses of the live vaccine. They just don't know whether it was the first or second arm of the trial.

She said she is still blinded though.

Yes I'm blinded. However I'm fully vaccinated, whether it was in October or April. I've had 2 doses as has anyone still I the trial.

This wasn't an issue for NHS England who added ppl still blinded to the app
Nor for the CDC.

How did I get so unlucky to end up in the most disastrous trial, with a govt that don't care.

I'll do whatever is necessary to ensure the govt are held accountable.

A double blind trial, is different to a blind trial. I have documents stating I'm fully vaccinated. Just not registered.

I'm on the valneva trial in Scotland and received documentation confirming my vaccination status last week, but I assume you know this.

@doggyg I've been trying to get the govt to sort this since June. I've never met sunch obstructive, rude ppl. HY doesn't answer any Covid Qs as he's apparently "too busy" There's a novavax thread in mumsnet, where you'd be very welcome. Not many Scots in it.

@Haudyourwheesht when you say documents do you mean an interim nonQR letter?
I see the SNP were sticking up for Valneva ,but that's only as the factory is in Scotland. Do you have any estimate on EUA dates?

I got an 'NHS Record of Vaccination' letter It states that I am recognised in the UK in the same way as those who are fully vaccinated. It came in a blue envelope! I'm still not too sure how widely accepted it'd be, but seems legit.

Apparently results are expected in the 4th quarter of this year but my trial doesn't end till next April. No QR code on the letter.
