Is there an announcement tomorrow?

Is there an update on the stay at home order due tomorrow? I’ve completely lost where we are at. I’m currently on Furlough because of the stay at home order and being unable to WFH. Wondering is that will change tomorrow.

@Callisto1 Bing has got my three year old through lockdown... I feel like I’ve got another whiney kid in the house Hmm

I feel positive because there’s not been anything leaked or anything to suggest they won’t go back after the Feb holiday. My DH thinks they’ll go back after Easter Sad

Bing and Hey Duggee are my life savers! Being able to sit through half an hour of cartoons is a fairly recent thing for my 2 year old, but it's the only way I can get through any home schooling. A toddler in the room is just too distracting.

There is so much more this time round as well. Takes us an hour and a half most days and that's only literacy and numeracy. Really hoping we get back before Easter. Thankfully it's only 4 more days before half term!

Hopefully they'll be back after half term, but personally I dont think so.

The percentage of positive tests was up today to around 8ish percent - so definitely no time soon.

Apparently it has to be less than 5% for 3 weeks or more for it to be considered that that pandemic is under control.

I'm thinking after Easter too.

Positive tests are up?

Bloody hell

ProseccoThyme · 01/02/2021 20:58

Yes - hoping it's just a delay from weekend reporting - but have a look at the Travelling Tabby FB page & on Twitter.

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 01/02/2021 21:03

I think I've noticed positivity is always up a wee bit at the start of the week. I wondered if maybe routine NHS / care home tests aren't done so much at weekend.
I could very easily be wrong though.

If the 60k testing capacity was used surely the % positive rate would go down? I don't understand that as a measure of pandemicness at all!
