Given the responsibility they have (no comment on the quality of the job they do) I'd be perfectly happy to pay the PM and Ministers a lot more. It's a bit scandalous that someone running a largish company gets a lot more than someone running the country or the health service or national security etc.

I'd finance that by paying ordinary MPs a lot less as they are overpaid for what they do and what they have responsibility for (i.e. nothing).

As for the MSPs again it should be reflective of the role and responsibilities they have, first Minister is probably about correct but PM should be on at least double. No idea what an ordinary MSP earns but it's probably too much.

Maybe all ordinary MPs and MSPs should be on the National average wage?
