You scare pheasants roosting on fence posts and tiny birds drinking from puddles as you walk along.

Gorgeous isn't it. My favourite part of the day

It's usually rabbits and deer I startle

It's cold, dark and silent.

I used to live rurally and you've just made me pine for it! Instead, I am sitting on my patio watching the sunrise, so it's not all bad! It's a beautiful morning 🌅

I lived and worked in major cities for over thirty years and I just feel physically and mentally better nowadays surrounded in green.

I don't live in the countryside, but this isn't at all poncey... I walk the dog down to the river first thing at the weekends - this is my favourite time of the year as we get there just as the sun is starting to rise... it's beautiful, and yes, it does feed the soul thankfully it's well lit on the way otherwise I wouldn't do it! lol

The sheep haven't walked down the road yet.

When scrapping ice from your car is almost a daily occurrence between September and April.

I have a cat that snores loudly. Only ever caught a horse snoring once.
Ours were in at night, and there'd be faces looking over the door when I arrived, then they'd all disappear to have a pre-breakfast wee at the back of their stable!
