DP meeting "old friends" via facebook

Just wanted to check what other people think of this.

DP went to the pub last night to meet a woman he knew vaguely from primary school. He is 39 now so it has been over 25 years since he saw this person.

This came two hours after he asked me how I'd feel if he went out with a woman (as a friend) that he'd met via DateTheUk. I categorically said I would not be happy with him meeting a woman via a dating site.

He joined this site when we had a short break recently. I have asked him to deregister but he says it's too complicated. Yeah, right.

We don't live together so I don't know what time he got back.

What do you think?

Thank you SGB, eloquent and accurate as ever.

By the way, I'm the woman you had the Quim magazine conversation with at a Xmas party a couple of years ago. Not that I'd expect you to remember from so long ago.

Yes, now he uses the lovely tactic of crushing DSs spirit in order to get to me. What can I say? I would die for DS, so it works every time. However, I couldn't give toss if he was run over by a bus tomorrow, sorry but I couldn't.

I'm on your and your DS's behalf fearne

So many tossers out there.

Ghost - was that the MN Xmas party? I think I had the same conversation with two or three people (you know when you have a couple sweet sherries and are suddenly struck with an Amazing INsight that you have to share with everyone? ) Hello again anyway.

GhostInTheBackOfYourHead · 05/05/2010 23:01

i have learnt from bitter experience that u should never ever ever tell yor partner, hubby, whatever that u know what they r doing....keep shthum, i know thats hard but if u let on that u know, u will lose evidence.
monitor them with google desktop and wait for them to hang themselves
