Never never never drink and email. NEVER!

It is far too easy to hit that enter key and say something you would never say to his face, however drunk! It's even more risky than drinking and dialing!

Honestly, do it in the morning if you must do it at all.

If I were you, I would send him regular funny, witty emails, so he will look forward to getting them and associate you with laughing and fun. It will remind him what good company you are!
