All right so some of you may laugh at this post, but since getting pregnant I've become a bit more er aware about cleanliness in the bedroom, my DH on the other hand has decided that baths aren't for him (we don't even have a shower) he's stinky! For about a week and a half now all I've been asking him to do is wash one particular part of himself and all he does is get into a great big sulk about it and says 'you'll have to wait for me to have a bath then'.....AAAAAAAARGH!!! Is it too much to ask?! How can I herd him into the bath....he's bigger than me!

My sil's ex stopped brushing his teeth for months. She refused to hug/kiss/more with him until he sorted himself out.

expatinscotland · 05/04/2005 14:51

Ick. I don't think a condom would even do it for me. That's just one thing I find a complete turnoff: body odour. Daily showers are de rigeur in our home.

Fio2 · 05/04/2005 14:55

if you tell him to rinse it off under the cold tap, i am sure you will both get some sleep

completelysecretposter · 05/04/2005 14:56

I'll get him in the bath tonight somehow, I even promised him a blowjob last night and it almost worked! He wouldn't wear a condom anyway, he hates them, which might be why I keep getting pregnant

franke · 05/04/2005 15:00

Maybe if you try retching all over him he'll get the message.

eeewww, I feel quite ill on your behalf.

expatinscotland · 05/04/2005 15:00

what you need to do is offer to give him a bj, and as you go down there puke up on him. He would ahve to wash then, and get the hint

Tell him someone else has commented on it, and that he's getting a nickname or reputation, something like "rotten nob" or "cheese meister"

Guaranteed.

Dirty swine.

I know this is a serious issue.... and I've been there... but this makes me PMSL! MEN! Aren't they of scientific interest to be studied and learned about.... rather than nurtured and loved?

My DH has had smelly knob syndrome a few times when he hasnt' showered for 3 or 4 days. If he's pushed for time he just washes his hair in the sink... which I think takes longer than jumping in the effing shower!

But the best one was when I was cuddling into him one night and I had my head on his shoulder. I smelled this awful rancid smell and thought it was his feet.... after mich investigating and him smelling various body parts in embarassment.... we discovered it was his BELLY BUTTON! Eurgh! I nearly puked! It's really effected me now though as I feel I have to ask him if he's showered in the past 2 days before we get intimate.

Again I emphasize... MEN!

Thats disgusting i really couldnt cope at all with that, theres no way he would be sleeping in my nice clean sheets or sitting on my sofa, he would be sittin on a kitchen chair not allowed to move lol - seriously theres no reason not to have a bath me, my dp and my dd all have a bath and wash our hair every morning. i cant sort myself out til im clean - i just wouldnt kno what to do with myself. u need to call kim n ags (from how clean is your house) to come and sort him out!
good luck

Titania · 06/04/2005 08:22

maybe go out and buy him a gift pack of mens toiletries from the bodyshop or boots?? say that you love the smell of it and would love it if he smelt like it....??/the smell turns you on etc?? just an idea....

AuntyQuated · 06/04/2005 08:23

i feel sick reading this.
i wouldn't want to share a house with him, never mind anything else!

noddyholder · 06/04/2005 08:26

agree this is disgusting but made me remember someone at an old workplace who was nicknamed kipper cock tell him this it might make him see sense if he thinks he will get a similar nickname

mummytosteven · 06/04/2005 08:33
