Mums of boys: at what age do you stop getting naked/weeing etc in front of them?

As a mum of boys I'm sure we all bathe/wee/change tampax etc in front of them.

When to stop?

about teens i started to cover up

but i often just shout " NAKED WOMAN COMING THROUUUUUUUUGH" as i run to bathroom for something or other

My Ds1 has managed to get to 15 pretending that there is no such thing as periods through the diliberate ignoring of anything faintly looking like a tampon and blushing and coughing should I start to apologise for being a bit grumpy
Sadly his strategy has exploded now that DD (age 6) is in on the whole menstral thing.
Cue this conversation when walking the dog
"mum mum tell me about that period thing again would you !" " Ds1 do you know about that period thingy ? - has mummy told you " " Go on mum tell me again - you know about the blood and things GO ON PLEEAAASSSEE"

Poor DS1

My ds is 14 and sometimes chats to me while i'm in the bath through a half open door i might add.regularly sees me runnijg about in the buff though I think it depends on the family We have always been like this and so not sure when it stops.If you feel uncomfortable i suppose

I'm amazed that some of you mums get to go to the loo alone to change tampons without your kids. Ds has always followed me to the loo and I've never thought to shut him out. Also, when out and about in town and stuff with a young child you have to take them into a cubicle with you and they can see it then.

Wonder if I am scarring him for life by allowing him to see this?

Also, we only have 1 loo in our house so that makes a difference I think.

i have never changed a tampon in front of anyone..why would you?

but also i had three children close together so the oing in the bathroon with me never really arose

or i popped them in the cot for a few minutes

Do you know, I can't really remember, I suspect when he was about 5 or so, but I do remember having to change a tampon in a public loo with ds once and he got really upset because he said 'he didn't want to stick one of them up my bum when I'm older'

Well it's not like I whip it out and swing it around my head whilst singing 'look at me'

Never ever covered myself in embarresment or shame. My kids are grown up now and I remember our best conversations were spent whilst me in bath and them on loo.
My son was a bit shy around puberty but it passed and when he was quite grown up he showed me his bum as he thought he had piles, but then I have always made them feel comfortable around me since I diapered them and always took care of their covered areas anyway... It just goes with the job I suppose. Never made a big deal out of it. Daughters are different of course. The kids between themselves are not self concious and give each other their privacy when needed, but passing thru to shower or loo barely covered is of no incidence. We don't make a big deal of our bodies at all.
Tampons? Never really had to do that infront of son but he knows all about it, and I think that is best, having two sisters it's all unavoidable human stuff and best kept at a normal accepted level.
Just need humour over things. Son always showed us his belly pubes in pride as he grew and we'd always take the mikey as his were blond. It's only body stuff after all.

When they start gagging, I'll start covering up. But they will probably be blind from too much wanking by then.
