Me and my partner don't kiss

Me and partner have been together for 17 years with a teenager, in our mid 30s.
We have had a few problems over the years which may has took its toll.
Our sex life is fine (I'm never left un satisfied but can lack passion)
My main problem is that we don't kiss, like really kiss anymore, and I miss it.
I'm not sure when this started to happen or not happen I guess but the more I think about it it's bothers me. I actually remember the last time we really snogged, and I feel like when I try to do it seems weird and he'll 'move on to summot else' if you get my drift (sorry)
I have brought it up to him (he still likes to ask about fantasies and what I enjoy) his reply just seems to be "we just don't need to anymore, I'm sure this happens when couples have been together a while" and I'm just like but I miss enjoying a good snog.
Is this weird/normal, am I thinking too much into it?
