Hi everyone so recently married to my dw

One of the guests (single male) is a good friend of mine and my wife has been added on social media from him which is fine.

So we are open about phones and let each-other go on and nothing apparent has happened

Until a couple of weeks her bag was open and I found a very small glass bottle with a note in with some fragrant liquid in so me being me I opened it and got the note out which was covered in a perfume smell and the small note was in red writing of the single male wrote 3 times and then another direction my wife's name with red circle around it so put it back and left it (now it's gone)

And now a week ago went of wife phone and saw
On deleted notes

Will * reach out
Has * spoken about how he feels to anyone?
Will * come to birthday party

I'm so confused as when I speak about the single guy she doesn't react and when I said he wants me to go out for a night out and help be his wingman I get no reaction

I'm not confrontational at all and don't know what the best way to go into this

As my wife doesn't know that I have seen the glass bottle or the deleted note

Any help or input would be amazing

You're married to the woman, surely you could've asked her what it was all about?

Why would you marry someone you can't ask such a simple question to?

How long have you been together?

fredintothewild · 25/01/2025 00:52

@PizzaPunk I which I could as it's stuff I have found in her bag

And on her phone which she will probably end up saying why was I snooping around looking for stuff like this ?

If it was the other way around I agree she would have said straight away

Been together for 15years

What a stupid answer. You could say this to 99% of the OPs on here. The point of the forum is to get different opinions and perspectives, a sanity check if you like, to see whether something needs addressing and how to go about it.

Garlicnorth · 25/01/2025 00:58

Was the writing on the 'spell' just your wife's name, or was there something else too?

Who is *?

I get this is a weird thing to ask about, though it's a shame you didn't think to knock her bag over so the magic bottle "just fell out". You might be stuck with facing the music now.

Btw, does either of you believe in magic, voodoo, spirits, any of that?

StormingNorman · 25/01/2025 01:02

I don’t know what the little glass bottle is about, but that plus the notes on her phone don’t look good.

You are going to need to bring it up and say how you found out, or bury your head in the sand. Both options have their pros and cons.

MarkingBad · 25/01/2025 01:09

This is supposed to be a love spell, you place a note with the name of someone you have a bit of a thing for in red ink in a perfume bottle with some favoured liquid and shake it frequently, bury it or place it under your pillow.

It is supposed to make the person named fall deeply in love with you. If you dream of them it has worked (it hasn't but people will believe any old tripe)

It's absolute nonsense of course, love spells are a silly practise at best and unethical at worst but it may not have come from your DW, could be a friend being a prick popping it in her bag.

Garlicnorth · 25/01/2025 01:27

I'd just finished giving myself a headache googling that, @MarkingBad! It didn't help that there's apparently a discontinued Victoria's Secret Love Spell fragrance, spawning thousands of online posts looking for it 🤦‍♀️

OP, if * is the friend you mentioned and the note's in his handwriting, it does look possible that the pair of them are acting like moonstruck twelve-year-olds. How depressing.

fredintothewild · 25/01/2025 04:46

@Garlicnorth

So the persons names on the paper are the single males and it was written 3times and my wife's name 3 times across the other direction with the circles around them.

As I said when missing and I said the bin smells really strong of perfume and I saw it was in there and I said I'm going to clear it out to see what it was but she emptied it away like she didn't want me to do it it sounds so stupid but wish I did as I could have then brought it up with her and ask what the paper said on it

😯 Does this seem like something she would do @fredintothewild ? i.e. Does she dabble in spells & the like normally?

TableTimesGo · 25/01/2025 05:24

Stop being polite and ask her.

So what if she's offended, she needs to explain.

Garlicnorth · 25/01/2025 06:18

I used to live in a country where the 'alternative religion' is very strong. I had a fair few spells and curses cast my way, amongst other stuff. I'm certain that magic can work, but it works the same way as homeopathy and reiki - because the person on the receiving end believes it. No curses ever harmed me.

The point of this intro was to emphasise that I'm not suggesting a breakup spell because I think there's anything to it - but, if she's a believer, she might feel her bond with your 'friend' is hexed. You would need to make sure she accidentally sees you casting it, or finds the circle of candles and your lavender-scented knife afterwards.

I also need to say this is a horrid mystery to find soon after your wedding, you must feel bewildered. And it's far better to speak to her than to play magical mind games.

Still, if you feel like going that way, here's a breakup spell (other varieties are available, this one doesn't need complicated accessories!)

6 STEPS TO CAST A BLACK MAGIC SPELL TO BREAKUP A RELATIONSHIP
Breaking up is never easy, but with the help of black magic it can be a lot easier. Here are the steps you need to take to cast a black magic spell to break up a relationship.
STEP 1
Gather your supplies. In order to cast this spell, you will need some black candles, an Athame or knife, and some lavender oil.
STEP 2
Cast a circle. This is an important step in any spellcasting ritual, and it is especially important when casting a black magic spell. Make sure you are in a place where you will not be disturbed, and light the candles around the edge of the circle.
STEP 3
Anoint your Athame with the lavender oil. This will help empower your spell and increase its effects.
STEP 4
Visualize the relationship breaking up. It is important to focus on what you want to happen as you cast this spell. Picture the two people in the relationship splitting up and moving on with their lives separately.
STEP 5
Say the following incantation: "By the power of black magic, I break up this relationship and send them on their separate ways."
Breathe in deeply and repeat three times.
STEP 6
Release the circle and allow the candles to burn out. Once you have finished casting your spell, it is important to let it run its course. Do not interfere or try to force things along; simply allow the magic to work its own will.

andfinallyhereweare · 25/01/2025 06:37

She’s manifesting him.

Sopredictable · 25/01/2025 08:11

Who cares?

If it took you 15 years to marry and you still can't communicate with each other then all hope is lost.

Just ask her directly fgs

I know I agree it's just the fact I found it which I can imagine she will get annoyed at me with as I've been snooping

It's definitely not my kind of thing to dabble with anything like that but I know that sort of thing will be a big reaction as she does medium/psychic things which I have no idea about

This gets worse and worse. She makes money from selling spells? Could someone direct me back to the 21st century please, I seem to have got lost.

Not selling spells it's more people ask about certain things have happened and they want to know why or if someone likes them or any questions they want answering but I suppose you have to believe in it before going into it blind 🫤

Kind of trying to believe it into existence.

StormingNorman · 25/01/2025 09:57

You could give her your own bottle with your names and some of your aftershave - then sit back and watch her reaction.

fredintothewild · 25/01/2025 09:57

@StormingNorman yes I get what you mean , like forcing it

I haven't asked him if she has been messaging him at all but we are meeting soon for a couple of drinks and to have a catch up and see if we can find anyone for him so I only can take that as this (spell) hasn't worked

Kind of like law of attraction?

It's a binding style spell. Sort of trying to force a situation on someone else. One name over laid by another

It's unusual for it to be written in his hand though, if she has it normally this would be done for yourself if you are a believer. Especially since she wrote the list of questions about him.

Then again if she is a believer she wouldn't throw it in the bin, perhaps it didn't work?

Who knows?

Still think it's a daft spell.
