Do all middle aged men look at young girls on instagram?

DH56 follows an account called OfficeCutey or something like that, which I've looked at, and she's 20 - 21 at the most. Massive boobs. Do they all do this? To answer the obvious question, no he hasn't made his account private, and I'm not sure he realises people (including his sister who follows him) can see what he looks at.

No. DH has a FB account but it's only family, close friends and his hobby on there. I'd get the ick if I found him leering at young women on Instagram

Yep and there's no cure once the ick sets in. Pitiful fools.

Good question. I nearly went 75. At what age do men stop wanking off? Ive no idea.

I can't say I'm an expert! But I, along with numerous women I know and quite a few posters on Mumsnet, have been hit on by men in their 80's and 90's. The idea that men stop thinking about or wanting sex, even if they can't still perform, is invented to give us some sort of comfort. The notion that a grey haired, grandfatherly type figure who should be in a Disney film is actually eyeing us up with his dick is distasteful so we try to pretend it shouldn't exist. The fact is that men are men.

Only the sleezy ones who view women merely as sex objects.

This.

Almost every single man doesn't you know. That's one of those weird Mn0isms aimed at convincing individuals that they haven''t chosen poorly.

I would hasten to bet that much more DO than DON’T

jewelfantasy · 18/11/2024 18:16

I am sure we've all experienced old men being pervs, I know I have.

That said, what kind of absolute moron follows women young enough to be his daughter getting their tits out on a PUBLIC account?

Thats just so sad and pathetic and it means everyone can see what he's doing. At least have the decency to hide that stuff for your own private enjoyment rather than announcing to the entire world "I am wanking over very young women".

Pathetic.

knackered101 · 18/11/2024 18:23

I'm not sure about social media but the amount of men 60+ that I noticed eyeing up my teenage stepdaughter on the beach this summer was fucking grim.

GenderRealistBloke · 18/11/2024 18:28

Disturbia81 · 18/11/2024 17:25

It's definitely both those things. I think naked male calendars are grim too.
But don't pretend there's not a difference in how perverted men look at young women.

In many cases I think it's silly to expect symmetry (i.e. flipping the sexes in a scenario usually changes important things, and is not a helpful guide to whether something's OK or not. And usually when symmetry breaks down, it's because what is OK for a woman to do would not be OK for a man to do).

I guess we agree on that.

But in this case, I really do think this is a symmetrical case. Are women looking at Fully Monty calendars perverted? If not, why would a man looking at pictures of scantily-clad women be perverted?

(If you simply mean that there are more male perverts than female perverts then I agree with you, but you seem to be saying something about the situations being non-symmetrical, which I'm not seeing yet).

LifeExperience · 18/11/2024 18:30

No. Of course they don't. I have complete access to dh's phone and computers and not once has he ever done such a thing, nor would he ever.

Dirtyprotest · 18/11/2024 18:31

There's plenty groups on facebook as well.

It's so awful isn't it 🤢

Disturbia81 · 18/11/2024 18:35

@GenderRealistBloke I guess from your username that you're a man.. you won't understand the difference then. There's something insidious and predatory about perverted men, more so than women.. men are usually the murderers of women, rapists, abusers, dominators etc. It's scary having men see you as prey.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 18/11/2024 18:37

My husband is 53 and isn't on any social media at all.

RedR1ghtHand · 18/11/2024 18:40

My DH would be disgusted at the idea of ogling girls young enough to be his daughter.

MangshorJhol · 18/11/2024 18:42

DH is 44 so not sure that is classed as middle age. It should be. He has no social media- no FB, no IG and came off Twitter ages ago (and it was a work account). Does he watch porn? Maybe. Would he find someone young and hot/fit alluring? Maybe. Would he do anything about it? Nah. If she had a PhD in computer engineering or epidemiology and a coding nerd, he might be slightly more interested, but still nah.

Peaceandquietandacuppa · 18/11/2024 18:48

Not normal. Mine only follows music and football stuff, I’ve also seen his explore screen which confirms it. I wonder what you’d see on your DH’s explore?! Yuck.

He sounds like an old perv and I would have a big chat about it. To be honest it would give me the massive ick so I’d probably have to end it if he didn’t have a good enough explanation or plan to change 🤢

bryceQ · 18/11/2024 18:49

Yes, that's the bit I agree with you on.

In a huge range of cases it's just not the same if a man does it, for the reasons you say.

But in this case, there is no threat created or implied. Ogling a busty insta model (men) or a buff fireman calendar (women) is a pretty even parallel. You may not think it's great, and it's not my cup of tea either, but it’s not a perversion.
