I've een seeing a guy for a few weeks. This morning we met for breakfast at a local cafe.
He ordered toast with butter. Instead of just picking it up and eating it normally he pulled bits off, rolled them into ballS, appeared to suck the butter off then eat them. Meaning it took about 25 mins for him to actually finish the piece of toast. His hands and mouth were covered in a buttery greasy mess, not to mention the excessive crumbs all over the table 🤢 it was like dining with a messy toddler. I had to tell him to wash his hands afterwards as they were so covered in butter. Was making me feel quite ill.
Other than this he's a nice guy, we've eaten together before and no issues. But this is the first time he's had toast whilst with me.

Weird, I'd just ask him why he's eating like that and to eat it properly as he's making a huge mess. How he reacted to that would tell me more I think, then I'd decide if I was put off.

I wouldn't have been able to help asking 'whats the deal with the toast balls, Steve?'.

My DP whom I adore rolls his pizza into what he calls 'involtini', and insists it creates the perfect ratio of base to middle and an extra thickness of cheese. There could be method to the madness. He didn't start doing it until he had his feet well under the table, mind you.
