How long until you moved in together?

If you're over 30 how long until you moved in with your partner?

Just under a year and a half.

3.5 years.

It was about a year, but somewhat sooner than it would have been because his lease was coming to an end and he needed to go somewhere. Meanwhile I needed a lodger :-). We bought a house together the following year and married the year after that!

we actually never lived together until 9 months AFTER we got married!

A bit over 18 months. Bought a flat together 6 months after that and got married 15 years and various children later

When we got married two years of dating

don’t think it was a great idea but we are still married 15 years later. I wouldn’t recommend not living together (we didn’t even spend weekends together)

3 months. Been together 20 years now.

8 weeks.

Just shy of 3 years. We had immigration issues to sort out to make it possible. It was 3 months before we got married.

We moved in after 8 months. Together 16 years now and married for 12 of those.

We moved in together last Christmas after I was diagnosed with cancer. We were together three years at that point. If I hadn’t been diagnosed with cancer we probably wouldn’t have moved in together yet.

2 years.

The day after our wedding day. 4 years.

Got married after 1 year. He moved in 2 years after that.

Don't do that, it was nuts! A bit late to discover you can't stand each other when you've already been married 2 years...

Still, worked for us.

A couple of months - felt right at the time and still does ten years in but we did probably fall into being an old married couple quite quickly so it depends what you want your relationship to be.

Met in June had moved in by October, we never made a conscious decision though it just happened

We bought our house 4 months after meeting

A year pretty much to the day as my tenancy was ending and I didn't want to renew it. We met the day I signed the lease haha

Moved in together 6-months after meeting. Married 18-months later.
That was over 30-years ago

I suppose we never officially have!

We just gradually spent more and more time together until every night was either at his or mine. Four years in (and a marriage later), we predominantly stay in one house, but still keep things at the other house (in a different town) and every few weeks spend a few nights over there. Like a mini holiday without having to pack. Our belongings have just gradually migrated across the two places.

About 6 weeks.

40th anniversary next year ...

Seven months.

Myself and my partner have been together four years and still don't live together. I'm 54, she's 62. We live a 15 minute walk from each other.

I've lived with DH from the day we met 30 years ago. But if I was over 30 and in a new relationship, I probably wouldn't do that!

Met August 2014, he moved in Feb 2016, had our first in November 2016!
