If you mean midnight then I’m not surprised. We wouldn’t technically celebrate till the next morning.

Happy birthday though.

DaniMontyRae · 28/08/2024 21:30

Wait until you wake up in the morning. He is probably still viewing it as the previous day and so not your birthday yet. No reason to feel shit.

Bigcatpaws · 28/08/2024 21:31

Too early
He’s still on previous day and engrossed in a film.

longdistanceclaraclara · 28/08/2024 21:32

Are you 3? Seriously?!

Bbbabs · 28/08/2024 21:32

I think when you reach about 11 or 12 it's time to calm down a bit about your birthday.

Bbbabs · 28/08/2024 21:32

But, happy birthday!!!

YeahNoIDontThinkSo · 28/08/2024 21:33

Come on now.

xyz111 · 28/08/2024 21:33

Oh my goodness grow up. He's watching tv, he probably hasn't thought about it.

Onwardsandsidewaysyetagain · 28/08/2024 21:34

Say 'hey, it's my birthday already, fancy a drink/cup of tea?' and then do that. So much less stressful than testing people.

StormingNorman · 28/08/2024 21:36

It’s not your birthday until you wake up on your birthday. If you’ve not been to bed yet it’s still the 28th x

Happy Birthday 🎈

Idontknow110 · 28/08/2024 21:36

How do I keep a straight face and be happy when I all want to do is say
ITS MY BIRTHDAY!!! MY 3 YEar old is also up and I want to tell her lol but I want my husband to tell her.. arghhhh

DappledThings · 28/08/2024 21:38

It might be technically your birthday but it isn't in any generally understood way. You're being silly.

ShillyShallySherbet · 28/08/2024 21:39

I don’t understand why you don’t just say “it’s my birthday”, what’s the problem? Also if it’s midnight where you are, why is your 3 year old still up?

Gifgaf · 28/08/2024 21:39

Bbbabs · 28/08/2024 21:32

Bad advise

It's the day of your birth, every birthday should be celebrated no matter what age! It's the one day in a year that is solely about you.

Onwardsandsidewaysyetagain · 28/08/2024 21:39

Don't over-excite your 3 year old at midnight, put her back to bed. Go into your husband after and say 'it's my birthday, do I get a birthday kiss/drink?' and then go to bed and then wake up and it will be your proper birthday.

teenmaw · 28/08/2024 21:40

Think yourself very lucky if this is all you have to worry about. FFS!

Happy birthday

gamerchick · 28/08/2024 21:40

Dude. Go to bed man. Birthday in the morning.

Wish I got excited about my birthday like that Grin

DoreenonTill8 · 28/08/2024 21:42

Demand your crown, sash and badge like the birthday princess you are...
Unless he's waiting for your actual birthing moment?

You sound ridiculous. You're not 3. It clearly just hasn't registered with him. Like most normal adults he'll be thinking of the morning for your cards/presents

Go to bed

MonsteraMama · 28/08/2024 21:50

Listen I'm not one of these "adults shouldn't celebrate their birthday" people, I had a party at an old fashioned sweet shop for my last birthday, did some crafts, and had pancakes and sweets like a toddler. Birthdays are great. But you're being ridiculous.

Technically the day of your birthday started at midnight, yes. But really, it's not. It's still the night before. Go to bed, get up, yay birthday!

ShittyTitty · 28/08/2024 21:56

Get to bed OP. School starts again soon.

Taluulaah · 28/08/2024 22:03

Give him a chance! He probably hasn’t even noticed the time. And even then, he may only think to wish you a happy birthday in the morning - like the actual morning/day of your birthday, not a few minutes after midnight….
I think you’re taking this too seriously. Relax! And have a lovely birthday!! 🎂

Idontknow110 · 28/08/2024 22:12

Hey guys! Yes your all right about him wishing me in the morning.
But dont kill my excitement please! I am the birthday queen and I am excited! I've had a rough year, so the one day I just want to be treated special even if it means a small little cake with my loved ones!

OP posts:
Thepossibility · 28/08/2024 22:35

You expect him to run in at exactly midnight to wish you happy birthday!? So he should have been eyeballing the clock in the middle of the night for the big moment? That is bananas. Is everyone's birthday this special to you or just yours?

PyongyangKipperbang · 28/08/2024 22:38

Ok this is crazy.

Saying it in a laughing joking way "Oi, gitfaced, we are three seconds into my birthday and you havent said a thing!" is fine. Its not serious.

But I strongly suspect that you are not joking at all and that is totally nuts. Are you always this needy to make it all about you?
