Best advice I was ever given about relationships and I'm passing it on to you.

If something is important to you, tell your partner. Don't wait for them to telepathically know what you want, that is setting them up to fail. If you know they are bad at remembering anniversaries for example, remind them (this is actually me not DH but it is still true).

Does he know you want to be told happy birthday the minute midnight strikes? If not you are sitting there getting upset because you set him up to fail and he did.

There are far more important things to get upset about, this is a waste of emotion.

Has your husband wished you happy birthday yet? I absolutely love birthdays and Christmas and go all out every year, but I don't get upset if I've not had a Happy birthday wish at 1 min past midnight!! You sound like a child.

In the past, my two boyfriends have always said happy birthday at midnight, no fuss, just a kiss will do, especially if they are sitting right next to you. Of course you can cut him some slack if the man is watching a film, or sleeping, obviously he just forgot. However, if they are like my husband, who is online during 10min staight on WhatsApp at the time of midnight and not saying anything to you, it’s definitely annoying. But hey, call me needy, I don’t care. Those who are there for us and make our lives special through love and actions, are the ones who really make a positive difference. Otherwise you’re always going to be expected to eat those frogs, and not complain.

Two boyfriends and a husband? That's just greedy.

Happy Birthday 🎂 MN get quite funny about birthdays especially if you want to enjoy it.

It's your day, it's about you. I'm sure he'll wish you a happy one later on, not everyone gets the midnight memo. I hope you have a lovely day.

Happy Birthday 🥳🎂 💐

Now I'm of the opinion that the mother of the birthday person should be celebrated. After all, they actually did something on that day. The birthday person did fuck all when they were born and the only achievement to celebrate would be that they managed to survive another year to mark another birthday. My dogs do that without any effort whatsoever. So, for most people, they are celebrating nothing much really.

Obviously I take full advantage of my own birthdays when I am even more selfish than on I would be day to day. My own birthday is all about me. But that's only so that I can fit in with societal expectations.

OP have a wonderful birthday and celebrate all you like. Try to be asleep at midnight on most nights- it does wonders for your looks and health so you can celebrate as many birthdays as possible in the future.

I do object to the princess concept applied to anyone over the age of 5 unless they are actual real princesses with a proper title.

@PyongyangKipperbang oh bollocks is it? I didn't get him a card for the 26th year running. I'll put it in my calendar for next year (when I buy one, if I remember). Hopefully you got him one so he'll at least get one card.
