I found an engagement ring!!!!!

After almost 7 years together and hoping that I'd get a proposal... I've just accidentally found the ring!!!!!!!! Putting his flaming underwear away, stuffed at the back of the drawer! Of course I looked... tried it on... it's exactly what I'd wanted and is my size! I'm overjoyed! But annoyed I found it too!

I can't tell anyone of course... I have to keep it all in! But... ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I'm just so freakin' excited!!!!!!!

I really hope he does it soon... he knows I don't do flashy, public things. So I'm hoping it's romantic and just the two of us, or just our family (we both have children from previous relationships). He knows me so well though so I'm sure it will be lovely. He's a teacher, so I'm guessing something might happen over the summer holidays 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞. Or perhaps it could be later this year near my 40th. I'm guessing it won't be for my 40th though, he wouldn't do it then. But he might do it around that time.

Ha ha! I'm glad you posted and wish I'd thought to when I found mine! I still haven't told a literal soul IRL that I'd found it beforehand but was as excited about it as you are!

The only difference was I had an ounce of willpower left in me to not look at the actual ring, though he had left the receipt next to it, so I looked up the ring on the jewellers website! 😂 Somehow not looking at the actual ring itself made it OK!

I also didn't know when now-DH would propose, but I also was approaching my 40th. He booked a surprise weekend away for my birthday and had been planning on proposing on the first evening on our balcony, but the weather was shit, so he did it at home before we left!

Ahhh how exciting! For reference, I accidentally found mine, I roughly guessed when it was going to happen, we were going away, and it didn’t ruin the moment at all, there were still tears and shock! Congratulations in advance xxxc

That's lovely news congratulations. When my fiance was going to propose he spoke to my dad first, my father then messaged me before my partner had proposed saying congratulations. I was very confused by the message at first as it didn't say anything specifically about an engagement so I showed my partner and his face fell. He was planning to propose that day but obviously there was miscommunication between the 2 of them. Very disappointing :(
