I found an engagement ring!!!!!

After almost 7 years together and hoping that I'd get a proposal... I've just accidentally found the ring!!!!!!!! Putting his flaming underwear away, stuffed at the back of the drawer! Of course I looked... tried it on... it's exactly what I'd wanted and is my size! I'm overjoyed! But annoyed I found it too!

I can't tell anyone of course... I have to keep it all in! But... ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I'm just so freakin' excited!!!!!!!

I really hope he does it soon... he knows I don't do flashy, public things. So I'm hoping it's romantic and just the two of us, or just our family (we both have children from previous relationships). He knows me so well though so I'm sure it will be lovely. He's a teacher, so I'm guessing something might happen over the summer holidays 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞. Or perhaps it could be later this year near my 40th. I'm guessing it won't be for my 40th though, he wouldn't do it then. But he might do it around that time.

It’s actually very sweet, and shows what kind of guy he is that he thinks an open cupboard is a good place to hide a secret ring! It demonstrates a complete lack of guile. ☺️

i know what people have said about the tooth thing. but PLEASE be careful. they can be good for very initial work. but there are some fucking charletons out there doing some horrific work. it was just on the news this week. to be ever so cautious. i know this is slightly different because this is less the cosmetic and turkey teeth horror show going on. but still. be mindful.
im so glad you got it sorted though op. thats an epic relief. teeth are THE worst when they are in trouble.

Try not to let it overwhelm the holiday…..don’t forget he has no idea that you know about the ring and therefore no idea that you’re waiting with bated breath for him to make a move. If he did he’d be so upset that it’s starting to bother you….so don’t let it. He has no doubt got some kind of plan (because we know that SD is in on it somehow…) so just try to think of other things and enjoy the moment when it actually happens. The last thing you want is to have over-thought it so much that my the time it happens you’re feeling a bit resentful that he didn’t do it sooner. Enjoy the build-up as well and one day you can look back and think about this time as all part of your proposal story. 😊

This is good advice OP. You’ll look back on this time one day so try and relax and enjoy it as best you can! And as others have said, you’re probably just feeling done in by all the various tooth issues. Tomorrow is a new day!

Cautionary tale. My ex colleague did the same as you, found the ring, they were going away and he took the ring with him.

She was all excited waiting, created situations where he could propose and then it didnt happen. She was down when they got back, things got back to normal and then he proposed. She said that she thought it he would do it on holiday and he said that had planned to (had a whole plan that she would have loved) but she was "acting weird" so he didnt as he thought it might mean she would say no.

Maybe dial the excitement down a bit, as it may be freaking him out!
