I found an engagement ring!!!!!

After almost 7 years together and hoping that I'd get a proposal... I've just accidentally found the ring!!!!!!!! Putting his flaming underwear away, stuffed at the back of the drawer! Of course I looked... tried it on... it's exactly what I'd wanted and is my size! I'm overjoyed! But annoyed I found it too!

I can't tell anyone of course... I have to keep it all in! But... ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I'm just so freakin' excited!!!!!!!

I really hope he does it soon... he knows I don't do flashy, public things. So I'm hoping it's romantic and just the two of us, or just our family (we both have children from previous relationships). He knows me so well though so I'm sure it will be lovely. He's a teacher, so I'm guessing something might happen over the summer holidays 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞. Or perhaps it could be later this year near my 40th. I'm guessing it won't be for my 40th though, he wouldn't do it then. But he might do it around that time.

Am I the only one that feels sad she found it and has potentially ruined her own surprise. I actually feel sorry for the boyfriend if he's planned of all out and she already knows.

Oh do come off it. Today I washed his (and my) underwear, put them on the line and later will put them away. Last week HE did a wash load (which included my washing) hung it on the line, ironed some of it and put it away. What sort of person ignores their partners needs and only takes care of their own?

I put my DH's underwear away. I also hoped for a proposal. I'm also a high earner, work full time and DH did 6 months shared parental leave and does the majority of the childcare.

The bigger question is who pissed in your cornflakes this morning?

For the record, whoever puts the washing away puts all the pants away. It's about 50/50 who does it in our house.I hope that's acceptable.

I always put my husband’s underwear away. I might even have ironed it first if I felt like it. I like folding and I like neat drawers, whether they’re mine or not.

If anyone’s on the verge of slamming me for that, he gets up first and brings me tea in bed every single day. He does the majority of the cooking and lion’s share of the cleaning.

You never know how people share the load.

I wash my husbands pants AND I fold them before I put them in the drawer! I put his socks in pairs too! I’m educated to post graduate level and have a professional full time job and two children aged 8 and 12. But I still find time to fold pants. Sorry if that offends anyone 😂
