Do you know why you’re not liked?

Have you ever been disliked by someone, known they don’t like you but not know why? Or do you know reasons why peoples wouldn’t like you? Do you ever think it is you or is it there issue or both?

My MIL has never liked me, she’s never said but I can tell. She makes little effort with me, she makes sly digs when people aren’t listening, I’ve heard her slagging me off.

I don’t actually know what I’ve done wrong apart from love her son and make him happy - after he was in a bad relationship. I’ve tried to include in things, I’ve invited them round for food/drinks, generally I’m a nice thoughtful person and I do have a lot of friends I just don’t understand why and it hurts me.

My in laws don't like me because I stand up to them and say no .

Apparently I seem haughty and superior at first 😬 Usually because I'm actually extremely uncomfortable around new people.

Its interesting how many assumptions we make of people that seem to stick and they are not true at all.

People who know me because they do something alongside me like me, but I realised when I had kids that most of the Mums didn't like me.I was quite surprised. I don't know why, I think I was hard to 'place' and my face didn't fit, I'm a bit awkward, a bit intense, a bit daffy, not conventionally attractive, a bit nerdy. I made close and enduring friends with some Mums, but I know there were Mums who would talk to me once then never acknowledge me again, or avoid me in Tesco. One Mum was in the queue in front of me at a Christmas fare and she made it clear she did not want to talk to me in a very obvious way, I don't think she intended to be so rude.

I don't always like people so I assume people don't like me for similar reasons. I'm just not their cup of tea.

I've been described as eclectic. I'm an oddball in ways. I have ADHD and OCD. It gets weird in my head. I'm sure some people think I'm a lot. Lol

I don't think even like me sometimes. 😉
