I'm bemused how a 30 year old would want to marry a 50 year old, as for all the old cynical reasons, he is not that rich or that famous is he? I know there is a lot of discussion here about age gap relationships so I wondered what people thought. I remember being hit on by a 35 year old when I was 22 and I thought he was old!

There is 20s years between me and my partner. This year will be our 18th together.

He is neither rich, famous or a pervert.

He's wonderful. Yes he's has his flaws as do many men. But he cooks, cleans, looks after me. Doesn't cheat. Works full time and loves animals. He is intellectual and funny.

There are many amazing things about him.

Sometimes you just click with someone and he was my person. I've never been into younger guys as they were so immature. I needed more than that.

There are comments on I think the Daily Mail suggesting that she has paid people to write comments! I think that's a step too far but as I mentioned they are an illustration, I'm asking about age gap relationships in general. I'm not interested in Alice Evans or what she thinks.

That is obviously very sweeping but 20yo with a 40yo probably not gonna last - 30yo with 50yo well I don’t see why it won’t last.

Wouldn't go anywhere near Ioan personally, the baggage alone would be enough, but how is it news that different people like different things?

Like many, I usually find 15y+ age gaps a bit gross and pervy, but he is a fit 50yo and Bianca has MS. They’re likely to be at a similar stage health-wise 25 years from now. She’s unlikely to be his carer tbh because they’ll likely be supporting each other. Sad but true.

Agree about the baggage involved, an ex-wife that has a DVRO out against her, endless social media attacks, Evans has said that she will do to him what Amber Heard did to Johnny Depp, it would have me running for the door like my arse was on fire.

Bianca seems open and kind (maybe a bit too gushy and woo, but that's personal taste).

His ex seems very volatile and unhinged - Google the videos of her abusing a woman after a minor car crash. Allowing your daughter to pursue a court case with no evidence and that highlights how badly behaved she is was really destructive, too. It will be on the internet forever. Something's not right with her relationship with her daughters and how she's brought them up since the split.

Bianca has been married before and it was abusive. She also has MS and has had some setbacks over the last year or so. She also has Ioan’s terrible personal situation to put up with (the ex-wife is subject to a DVRO because of the abuse she has put Ioan, Bianca and his family through). Given the baggage on both sides, and the numerous opportunities both have had to walk away, I’m inclined to believe they do actually love each other.

All the details are totally out in the open in the court documents (featuring, not Ioan's "side of the story" as I expect will be claimed by many, but Alice's actual abuse of her daughters, and him, documented in plain sight). She shouldn't have custody of those girls.

AE & IG seem as bad as each other. Bianca Wallace could do so much better than getting sucked into that shitshow permanently. She already seems to bankroll him

I don't know much in fact I know nothing about her. I wasn't aware she had a very successful career. I'd never heard of her until this relationship I know of him from Hornblower but my cousin worked with him on two series and she got on well with him.

Maybe not as rich as Elton John, but still going to be a multi millionaire.

He’s also much fitter and better looking than the average 50 year old bloke on Tinder. And probably better looking than average 30 year old to be fair.

I know of large age gaps where the bloke doesn’t have much money so obviously some are attracted to older men.

though in the real world I do wonder what the attraction is
