OLD tips!!

Hi All,

So I dipped my toe in OLD last year, was talking to someone who seemed great but wouldn't meet (posted here & the general consensus was he's attached).

I posted on a FB group and someone shared a facial recognition site and 80% of the people I was taking to weren't real.

Fortunately I'm not desperate to meet and very happy on life it's a nice to, not a must have. But thought one place for all tips would be helpful.

The 2 best things I've been told are -

1- check them out on https://facecheck.id
2 - if they won't meet within 2 weeks they probably won't

So anything other useful tips!

Im off the apps at mo but my biggest rules were meeting within 2 weeks, having a phone call before meeting to see if there’s a conversation flow and don’t engage with sex chat with someone before meeting (unless you’re looking for a hook up)

My best tip is delete your profile/accout from all dating apps and go and meet people in real life.

Yes, but I think you missed the point. The OP is asking for OLD tips. So that's mine - come off it altogether!

I guess it saddens me to read on here just how many people are frustrated, upset, hurt, bewildered with OLD - the process, the "quality" of the men on there, ghosting, catfish, serial liars shaggers. Paints the picture of OLD being a complete cesspit of losers. Makes me wonder why anyone would want to fish in that particular pond.

I've not used a facial recognition site, but how accurate are they really, I wouldn't put too much belief in that.
Speak to them for a few days, are they easy to get on with, convo should flow easily at a pace you are comfortable with, don't feel pressured whether that's to give your number out too soon or meeting too soon, and of course ideally meet within 1-2 weeks but Any time I've felt pressured, they never had good intentions.
