Wilkie · 09/03/2008 07:59

OOO - just thought of another one.

WILL NOT use the last bit of milk in the carton - says it's poisonous - so opens a brand new carton and leaves the old one in the fridge for me to finish for good measure!!!!!!

MadamePlatypus · 09/03/2008 08:41

So why do people wear slippers?

rofl at the chilli sauce thing foof.dh is the same.i spend quite a long time making a lovely dinner.i am careful with the salt and fat content. i season things properly.i give the food some love.
dh looks at his plate.takes the salt- covers the whole lot with it( he never tests it first) and then dollops chilli sauce on it.Current favorite id 'dragon blood' which is about 11 out of 10 in the heat scale. i swear he has never eaten anything i have made without these alterations. And obviously he cannot see that this might offend me.
yes deffo chilli or die with him.

i am interested in these Adiletten now kinder.sorry had to go to sleep last night.

Lol Cremola, at your DH not eating anything without smothering it in salt and chillisauce first. You should cook something disgusting and see if he notices.

Since you asked so nicely here is the link to the Adiletten. Lots of Germans wear them as slippers.

Sorry that it is a German site, but when I googled Adiletten on UK websites nothing came up. I couldn't think what they would be called in English. I have been here too long it seems.

anorak · 09/03/2008 14:02

My DH turns his pillow over before he settles down to go to sleep...to get the 'fresh side'.

KatieScarlett2833 · 09/03/2008 14:03

Mine gets undressed at night, neatly folds his clothes, then leaves them in weird places around the house, e.g. the kitchen, living room, downstairs loo and on one occasion, the stairs!

When asked why he does this he has no reasonable answer, Thought it might be some sexual perversion, but he saves that for his, erm, "morning shower", and thinks I don't know.

He also refuses to use cheap loo roll and has been known to make a mercy dash to Tesco should the need arise.

He also "hates" tomatoes, but will cheerfully eat tinned ones and tomato puree. Weirdo.

cremolafoam · 09/03/2008 14:21

kinder- dh has given them a 0/10 i'm afraid
his excuseis:
I'll just 'step out'of those

no idea what the hell he means either but i've heard him use that expression before.i think it is just designed to confuse me

Dh is pleased to know that he is not alone in eating food with a tea spoon, he thinks he has started a trend

He also leaves the wardrobe door open with the interior drawers pulled out, he does this in the kitchen too, it is like that scene from The Sixth Sense where she goes into the kitchen and all the doors are open.

I once made him do the arm movement for being able to close drawers and cupboards to see if he could actually do it

He also brushes his teeth first with no toothpaste just water, then does them AGAIN with toothpaste. Drives me mad so I avert my eyes and keep my mouth shut.

ChocolateFace · 09/03/2008 20:09

Another DH here who uses a tea spoon!

Teuch · 09/03/2008 20:43

he uses his socks to dry his ears before putting them on

PhoenixCymru · 10/03/2008 00:33

Mine will eat tinned cream of tomato soup often, but will not a let the smallest slice of real tomato past his lips.
He will only ever do a no.2 in the upstairs loo- despite being perfectly happy to pee in the downstairs one with the door open!
Despite working for a major electronics retailer he cannot manage to operate any of our kitchen appliances- he has to ask how long to heat a can of beans for in the microwave ffs.The info is on the tin that he's looking at!
Still, I wouldn't change him.

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 10/03/2008 14:04

Phew, I thought it was just my family who ate ice cream and cereal with teaspoons.

Meeely2 · 10/03/2008 15:04

DH sucks his food - sensitive teeth apparently, but makes the same noise when eating a sunday roast as he does when eating ice cream - drives me mad.

the dishwasher HAS to be loaded his way or no way - I never load the dishwasher.

He can't fit the kiddie seats in our car, it must be a mental block or something - I have left him out there for an hour a few times struggling, then he comes in in a sulk and slumps in front of the tele. I fit them in 5 seconds flat.

He has to have his back rubbed before he can go to sleep and i have to stroke his feet/legs while we are watching tele - I get the absentminded "uh uh" noise if I stop even for a split second.....

WonkyAngel · 10/03/2008 15:55

My dh has a '10 second twitch' in bed. Once he's asleep, he'll kick one leg up very quickly so that the whole bed rocks. Without fail I can count out 10 seconds and he'll do the same movement again.

This will carry on all night untill I kick or elbow him to stop. Very annoying.

cremolafoam · 10/03/2008 16:53

god no wonder you are wonky angel
