Give me your worst pet peeves!

for me, it’s got to be poor hygiene, bad manners, really weird sex noises (lol).

Zero effort with physical appearance.

No motivation to have a better life (work or hobby interests)

Luckily for me my wife does neither of the above but some of her actual minor annoyances though.

  • Being late for no reason. That one annoys me the most, just farting about around the house doing unnecessary things when we should have already left.
  • Not answering the phone because it’s always on silent!
  • Will let the dog eat or lick her food then will finish eating it 😖
Chestnutlover · 31/07/2023 19:29

Oooooh what about bits hanging out from underneath shirt?
a man I dated put on my blouse with no underwear. Lest I say more

This is me. My hubby goes crackers with the phone on silent

The big hard round beer bellies that look like they're pregnant.

Spitting as they talk.

Baldish men clinging on to long patches of hair instead of having a crop.

Bad hygiene.

But also too smooth/suave dressing unless at a special occasion.

Old man Blazers. Slip on shoes.

threeandmeandthedog · 31/07/2023 19:45

Bad nails
bad breath
snoring due to drinking
drinking every day
excessive use of word fuck (in every sentence)
calling people ‘sweetheart’
being short tempered over nothing
not cleaning the loo after taking a shit
vanity
insecurity
cutting up vegetables into really small pieces
using a steak knife to chop vegetables (what the fuck is that about?)
being thoughtless
not being kind to animals
being shouty
listening to jazz which sounds like it belongs in a hotel foyer

(this just seems to be a list of things that I hate about STBEXH 😂)

Dogsitterwoes · 31/07/2023 19:45

Long nails.

threeandmeandthedog · 31/07/2023 19:49

I forgot the worst one… name calling

Justcallmebebes · 31/07/2023 19:49

The usual, poor hygiene etc. The worst ick was a chap I met whose mother would sit on the edge of his bath, when he was in it, and wash his back and hair for him. He was in his 50's. That gave me serious ick. He thought it was normal

Titicacacandle · 31/07/2023 19:52

Conspiracy theories as per my last thread 😂

Anyone who lets their dogs lick their face 🤮

Vain men who spend longer getting ready than me.

Flipflops with jeans would definitely give me the boak!

Men that say for sure, it makes me want to scratch myself inside. I hate it. Urgh!

Menopants · 31/07/2023 19:57

PToosher · 31/07/2023 16:12

Use of the term 'the ick'.

This.

Adults using childish language is excruciating.

WhereTheSpiritMeetsTheBones · 31/07/2023 20:11

An unattractive gait when walking 😬
Baby talking about themselves and whingeing.

Being a man.

Flutterbye22 · 31/07/2023 20:32

Another one…

grown men who still live with their mum and their mum does their cooking and laundry…

🤮

KohlaParasaurus · 31/07/2023 20:37

Wisecracking. And expecting me to laugh or at least acknowledge the cleverness every time. Nope. Stony glare for the first offence, eject button if the hint is not taken.

And all the obvious stuff that everyone else has listed too.

alpenguin · 31/07/2023 20:38

Extremely Smelly poo.
we all have an odour but when it takes over the house four times a day 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Noorandapples · 31/07/2023 20:42

Not understanding basic science but disagreeing with it anyway. Not understanding feminism but disagreeing anyway. Not understanding something in general and then explaining it incorrectly to me with unfounded confidence.

Haveallthesongsbeenwritten · 31/07/2023 20:43

Anotherparkingthread · 31/07/2023 15:43

This is going to go down like a cup of cold sick on here but I don't like men who coddle or play with relatives children at family events/parties. It just makes my insides churn.

What?

Titicacacandle · 31/07/2023 20:49

I also get icked by men trying to date me OLD style that talk about sex before they have even met me let alone shagged me. And I love sex! I just get the ick straight away when they make overty sexual remarks. Blocked 🚫

Staygoldponyboystaygold · 31/07/2023 20:55

Long finger nails
Bellies that hang under shirts
Thinking they know next on any given subject
Bad manners

EarthSight · 31/07/2023 20:55

Paperclipped · 31/07/2023 16:09

Lazy journalism.

😂

Staygoldponyboystaygold · 31/07/2023 20:56

Best! Thinking they know best/more on any given subject

AsterixAndPersimmon · 31/07/2023 21:04

I’m Wondering what men would say gives them ‘THE ICK’ when it comes to women...

MayBe6 · 31/07/2023 21:05

Poor oral hygiene, getting angry at the slightest hint of something going wrong, taking socks off, rolling them into a ball and then leaving them on the arm of the sofa, picking toenails and throwing them behind the sofa, skidmarks on anything, not pulling weight around the house/garden and then moaning about the mess.
