Twice divorced
His child lives in another country with his ex partner
He and his recent ex (not mother of his child) were cheating on each other - he had suspicions, so started hooking up with women from a dating app; she eventually left him for someone else
He has retrained as a teacher so earning no more than £35k
Has zero disposable income as he rents alone and has huge expenses
So no more dates - cannot afford it
Has only a few thousand in savings as he blew over £15k in the last 1-2 years since his recent divorce on dating women and setting himself up
He eats porridge and toast in the evenings, presumably because he cannot afford other food
He constantly complains about the state of the country and how hard it is for people like him
He has trauma from growing up in an abusive household
He’s been dating extensively and admitted to sleeping with three different women in one day
He says he’s looking for a serious relationship

To be fair, there's nothing in OPs post that suggests he wouldn't be a perfectly good teacher.

An absolute nightmare to start a relationship with, but fine as a teacher.

I wouldn't date him. Not because he's a teacher only earning £35k because that's why I do and what I earn. Nor becaise he doesn't have much in the way of savings because I don't either being a single parent who loves alone with my child.

But because of all the other stuff.

Given he is described as not being able to afford to date, I'm not sure I understand why you are asking others whether they would date ... someone who can't afford to date.

Curiously, that isn't why I wouldn't touch him neither a barge pole. That's because he claims they 'cheated on each other' and effectively that he didn't cheat until she already had. Taking responsibility for your own actions as an adult counts amongst my absolute minimum standard of required behaviour.

I assumed she meant “so he’s not penniless, he is just either shit with money or a total skinflint if he is choosing to steal flapjacks”.

Assume she meant Costa (don’t think Nero sell flapjacks), and no the flapjacks are in a display in front of the till.
