Weirdest/Most Grim OLD experience

RiverRobin · 04/03/2023 20:17

I don’t know why I do this to myself, I’m back OLD (early 40s, children, divorced) looking for friendship/sex/nothing too serious. Only rejoined yesterday, started chatting to what I thought was a reasonable option, after a while he asks ‘would you be shy to fart in front of me’, bit weird but I reply ‘yes, not something I would expect from somebody’. Next thing I know, long fantasy sent from him about is desire to have someone fart on him, how he loves the sound/feel. I just want a pleasant, normal exchange leading to a possible meeting! Instead I end up feeling sick.

I know so many men aren't! But in the pool of weird fetishes it is mostly men.
Men make up the majority of the murderers, rapists, flashers, paedos, serial killers, domestic abusers, creeps. Weird fetishes are no different.
Not many women with foot fetishes and wanting to shit on people.

2 extreme experience which put me off OLD for ages. First a guy wanted to live out his rape fantasy and leave me tied up in a woods. He was swiftly blocked and reported, another who I later found out was a local radio station presenter at the time wanted we to video myself spitting different food and drink on my cooch. Again blocked.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 07/03/2023 12:32

Actually, I’ve just recalled a man I was speaking to recently, we swapped mobile numbers to text and also Instagram accounts. I put brightly coloured gel pedicures on there to share with friends etc.

This man saw them and turns out he has a foot fetish. Last thing he texted me was something about wanting to grip my feet. I blocked and deleted him.

There was another man a few years back when internet dating was sort of new but had been established. Had arranged to meet then he said something about me wearing a thong (joked it was footwear) and we didn’t meet up. Can’t recall what happened maybe I stupidly called him a pervert but next thing I knew he was texting and threatening me (even naming a pub he’d go and find me at!) and he lived near me. I’m wary now and don’t like to tell people exactly where I live but also I now just tend to block and delete weirdos and not engage with them.

I find your approach (aggressive) and your point of view very naive.

Your opening gambit introduced your point with expletives. Which many find weird or offensive and now you associate personal choice with horrible crime.

I’ve had lovely women tell me their fantasies and preferences but not for one moment did I link them to women rapists or women criminals. I’d suggest you read more than the daily mail.

What about the smell weird?

jiskoot · 07/03/2023 19:06

I had one when I was OLD before I met my DH. He wasn't great looking, not something that overly bothered me because hey, he could be lovely. This was a dating site where you could send each other a questionnaire with a bunch of questions you either chose from a list or made up yourself. You answer the others quiz and then you see their answers to the same questions afterwards. I sent him mine with some ordinary questions on, all good. He sent me his and it was all sorts of red flag questions like: have you ever made a decision without consulting your mum - he'd answered no. Do you become obsessed with people - yes. I can't remember most of them, they were all weird but the one that stood out at the time was: have you ever sniffed the underwear of a stranger and he'd answered yes! Yea, not sure how that would even happen but it was a firm nope from me.

You're right, but did you also know that female child abusers though fewer in number tend to be much nastier than men? I didn't until I went on a very upsetting "family dynamics course" which turned out to be almost all about child abuse. That was a very unpleasant week.

Do you not think that there are also abusive men who match that level of sadism?

True they might make up a minority of men who abuse, but that's because there are so many abusive men in total.

Why are you gunning for a poster because she swore? You sound a bit daily mail yourself.

QueefQueen80s · 07/03/2023 20:32

@Broadshoulder I wasn't linking people with fetishes to criminals. Just pointing out its mostly men who are responsible for bad shit and weird fetishes are no different.

It's not naive, it's fact.

I'm guessing I hit a nerve, are you a table shitter? 😂

QueefQueen80s · 07/03/2023 20:33

@NomadicSpirit I don't doubt that, not saying women don't do it. But the overwhelming majority are men.

kshaw · 07/03/2023 20:41

How hairy are you?
Unmatched
First date: within half a drink expressed his transpobe and anti Vax views
Left

Worst one:
Totally fell in love, 5 months on turned out was a predatory paedophile, multiple news articles, sex offenders register for life, but you know a name.change (totally legal) means I wouldn't have found that out til he chose to tell me. Broke no probationary laws even though sent my 5 year old gifts (I never introduced them, 5 months too soon thank fuck)

A year later I'm just starting to think about trying again...but I know I need a thick skin and zero trust

kshaw · 07/03/2023 20:41

Ah yeh 2 dates in without more than a peck of a kiss he asked to move in....

HashBrownandBeans · 07/03/2023 20:52

I ended up chatting to a man with a really bizarre rubber and elastic fetish, and not even in a sexy way. He was obsessed with things like swimming caps, trampolines, marigolds, verucca socks, etc. From what I could tell, his entire life revolved around it. You know how paedos will intentionally go into careers where they’d have access to children? This was him with rubber. I didn’t meet him, obviously.

Wastinmylifeaway · 07/03/2023 21:02

Sure!! Which bar?
😁

psychomath · 07/03/2023 23:04

Not me but a friend - recently single, met a woman on Tinder who was also recently single and arranged to go to her house for a ONS. On his way there she mentioned for the first time that while she had separated from her husband they were still living together. Also, he was at home right now. Also, the house only had one bedroom, so if my friend wanted to stay over he'd have to sleep on the couch. Also, it was possible that the 'ex' husband might wander in on them at some point, but they could just ignore him. That was OK, right?

Weeeeell turns out that was not OK, actually, so he cancelled the date and came round my house to watch Black Books instead.

Ok. male perspective here.

Over the last nine months I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the following:

  1. My first date from OLD last year seemed lovely and very sweet. She announced on the first date she’d only been single a week and her husband of 30 years had been having an affair for the last 3 years. She wanted revenge and I was the chosen man. I didn’t but she definitely needed a bit of time.
  1. Second dater. Fab night out. Came back to mine as we’d been chatting a while. Revealed she was “technically still married” when she got back to mine. Also - she had a daughter that she’d never mentioned (not a problem to me but she hadn’t mentioned once).

Third. On the day of matching. “Can I just come over and do some heavy petting with you?”

Forth. “I’m not ready for dating as it’s too soon, I’m just putting the feelers out”.

etc. …

it’s bloody hard work. And many are either not ready to date, wasting time or just playing games. Thousands of matches but nothing has come of it.

I’m single, fit/healthy, tall, got my shit together and I’d class myself as a decent well brought up bloke in my 40s. Im looking to date and hopefully settle down with someone. It’s probably the most soul
destroying experience I’ve ever done and I’m over it. It’s a waste of time, money and life.

can we just go back to meeting in a bar?

Women have to put up with all that shit too, and then all the plain odd, creepy, terrifying stuff on top of it.

People not being ready for dating, or cheaters or wanting to meet up straight away for sex etc. is standard and there doesn't tend to be threads about it.

As for meeting at bars. I don't go to bars anymore and I would imagine a lot of other women avoid them too. The reason being mens behaviour. I was raped one night when I was a teenager after a bar (much older man). I have had men follow me into toilets at bars, men asking me for a pair of my knickers, persistent men who won't take no for an answer so I eventually leave the bar, they have then popped up in the next bar. After my local pub one night I came home and shortly afterwards discovered a man from the pub in my back garden........I could go on...

Even when walking through my local town in summer time when more people are day drinking or down on holidays the men outside smoking behave appallingly. They shout sleazy stuff or just generally act like creeps. They do this when I'm with my 12 year old daughter. The comments are normally directed at us both. I look a lot younger than I am and she looks a lot older than she is. My daughter said to me it's no wonder so many women are lesbians considering so many men act that way!!

Women rapists?

How do women, a crime that requires a penis, rape exactly?

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 07/03/2023 23:50

you were doing so well! And now you’ve spoilt it.

Name change, try again.

Nah that's just a cuck fantasy. Not particularly unusual or recherche.
DH, likes a tinned syrup sponge put on his back while I smack his arse. 💁🏼‍♀️

At least it's not spotted dick 🤣

I woke in the middle of the night after a party to find a woman riding me. She is now on the sex offenders register for life. Is that not rape to you? I was engaged at the time and had to tell my partner that another woman had raped me.

I’ve also been groped in a gay bar, heckled by drunk women and been molested by a 17yo female babysitter when I was 8.

CalloohCallayFrabjousDay · 08/03/2023 07:45

@Broadshoulder that's sexual assault, not rape. The legal definition of rape is: when a person intentionally penetrates another's vagina, anus or mouth with a penis, without the other person's consent.

It’s used interchangeably I guess and in my mind it’s about consent. She still went to prison.

@GonnaGetGoingReturns very weird he turned up at your home. However asking what car someone drives I wouldn't class as a usual question.

Was about to say exactly the same thing!

Not that it justifies him getting angry :/

Thisisworsethananticpated · 08/03/2023 12:48

CalloohCallayFrabjousDay

when a poster of either gender shares they have been sexually assaulted (which we all know is a universally crappy and hard to forget experience )

id rather not see nit picking on the wording they use to describe it to be honest
