Some of you will be stunned at this but its DH's b'day today and WE are going out TOGETHER this evening because....

Most of you won't have the faintest idea why this is so shocking but some will as its a huge, massive, gigantic big deal for me.

Am still bricking it though....

Yes CD, my mum was the "do it all yourself" type too.

I do rememebr her working evening when I was little but I can never remeber them going out together , my dad died when I was 13 so it would have beeen a very long time ago anyway

My mum was very SAH and very hands on but my Dad a party animal and they loved dancing so they went out a lot, very glammed up
I used to love it!

My parents were gadabouts and we go out a lot.

Whether we will do so now, when ds is less portable, I don't know.

My mum entertained at home a lot (dinner parties).. am funily enough I much prefer to have people round ours than going out...

Would rather have been passed down my mums patience than her socialising style...
