Just been looking at the thread about finding friends etc. and just wondered in there were any mumsnetters in the South West?

I could do Cribbs too - mean meaning to make a meet up. I'm in north Bristol (as is half of mumsnet according to this!!!)

leese · 21/05/2003 22:34

even 'been meaning to'!! It's past 9pm - what do you expect?

leese · 21/05/2003 22:37

And what about Podmog, batey, sobernow and Enid to name but a few?! Wickedwaterwitch is also planning a relocation in this direction, maybe we could tempt her?!!....

WideWebWitch · 21/05/2003 22:40

I'd love to come if you do one but will only be able to if we've moved there already OR if it's on a Friday when I'm dropping ds in Bristol for his weekend with his dad (we meet there). So I won't commit to anything until you've got a date and time etc but I'd love to meet you all if I can.

I`ve read a few of the threads where meets are arranged. Every now and then someone seems to sum up what they think is happening, so here goes...
It seems that a few of us could meet at J.L coffee shop on Friday 20th June but not near school pick up times. How about a morning coffee/chat session around 10.30 with the possibility of the little ones playing in the park there afterwards(if not lashing down)?

Bear, Ursa and Little Tutter will be in France on June 20th so can't make the John Lewis meet (do you think you need to warn them first?!) Enjoy yourselves.

mjhen · 22/05/2003 11:13

Me and my 2y.o say "I " also.

How will we know each other - sudden thought of wandering around the tables at J.L attempting to introduce myself and my small boy to people who have just gone for a quiet snack!

LizC · 22/05/2003 11:38

I can do June 20th, together with 14 month dd - is that just 3 of us so far then?

We'll all have to wear red carnations (only joking)! We'll have to give descriptions of ourselves or something nearer the time perhaps.

bubbly · 22/05/2003 12:03

I'm North Bristol too!!!!! Cant do 20th though as we are away.

CAM · 22/05/2003 12:54

LizC I am not a born and bred Wiltshire girl but did spend a lot of my childhood there as my father was twice posted with the RAF to Lyneham. I went to school in Calne.

bubbly · 22/05/2003 13:11

CAM I went to school in Calne too....aah those Wiltshire Tracklements.

Frenchgirl · 22/05/2003 13:32

I can do the 20th too! It will be me on my own though as dd will be at nursery...

Sorry, no, still in France. Thanks for thinking of us though. Have a good time.

bubbly · 22/05/2003 16:23

I can do 27th pretty sure about that, but dont change on my behalf if most can do 20th

Caroline5 · 22/05/2003 18:06

Furball, whereabouts in them there Glos?! I'm near Cirencester.

Might possibly be able to make 20th June meet-up, will know more nearer time (dh and I are both job-hunting....)

leese · 22/05/2003 19:40

I hope to make it with dd - maybe we ought to warn John Lewis.....

Frenchgirl · 22/05/2003 19:55

Can probably do 27th instead of 20th. whatever suites most people.

Beetroot - I'm here like.

Caroline5 - I'm near Cheltenham.

Any week day suits me, you know us SAHM mums don't have much on!!!!

It's a pity we haven't got our 'Mumsnetter' badges for identifcation purposes. I'll probably be sat over with another crowd by mistake. I'm really bad for things like that.
