Oh lovely!

  1. I've never trusted anyone else, ever, but now I know what it is to feel secure.
  2. We share the same twisted sense of humour and have 'in' jokes about which we can smile knowingly at each other.
  3. Other men say things like "Your fella's a big bloke though, isn't he?" :swoon:
  4. He would go down on me all day if he could regardless of (pre- and) post-baby wobble.
  5. He brings me Ben & Jerry's as and when required, even in the bath or in bed on particularly dire occasions .

If we were to have a 5 negative things thread I'd be spoilt for choice mind ...!

  1. He's just come up 45 minutes after I said I'd go down so we could spend a teeny bit of time together but haven't gone down because I've been fannying around on MN, tolerated a whole 6 minutes of me rambling on about MN threads, said "Good to see you with a smile on your face" and patted me on the head before wandering off again. I love this man.
mustrunmore · 09/11/2007 22:22

He always gets up to have breakfast with the boys when he's on a late shift, or puts one of them to bed if he's on an early

He's only shouted at me a handful of times in 10 years

He makes me feel like I'm at (childhood)home

He fixes everything and does all the shit jobs like bins and cleaning the loo

He loves sex

Hello there...
May i join you?

DH is quite the lovely because:

  1. He says "how is Mummy?" and "how are you, love?" separately.
  1. He still loves my horribly baby-maimed and stretchy bits.
  1. He opens his arms for a hug and it's the best place to be.
  1. He loves to make things in our kitchen together (garden jam, chutney, etc).
  1. He is kind and fixes all the things I break without complaining!
shreddies · 22/11/2007 11:27

He is the most fantastic daddy ever
He sometimes gets DS up and does the washing up and gives him his breakfast before he goes to work so I can have a lie in
He is gorgeous
He can play the violin beautifully

I love him

Can't think of 5 good points but can think of several bad points .

Wisteria · 22/11/2007 15:12

  1. He will walk the dog if I haven't, even though he's just done a days work.
  1. He has accepted my children as part of his family
  1. He puts up with my PMT
  1. He tolerates working while I piss about on MN , and if I've had a bad day will quite happily attempt to cook!

All in all, I do not deserve him!

Amethyst8 · 22/11/2007 15:28

Had to think long and hard about this one. Would have been a lot easier to find 5 negative things so have found this quite a positive thing to do.

  1. Never once in nearly five years of being a parent has he ever lost his temper with DC. He is unfailingly patient with them.
  1. When he has cash he is extremely generous with it.
  1. Makes me laugh till it hurts nearly every day - when we are getting on.
  1. Listens to me rant endlessly about my difficult and painful relationship with my parents and tries to be supportive.
  1. When he is here always does the last, hellish tidy up of the night while I am putting the kids to bed.

Think I could do a lot worse on the whole.

pagwatch · 22/11/2007 15:30

He is a fantastic and devoted father
he tries so hard at everything
he makes me a coffee in bed every morning.
He still thinks I'm beautiful
He never gets song lyrics right

Amethyst8 · 22/11/2007 15:41

This should have been number one.

  1. When I was giving birth to DS and had been in labour for 43 hours and no one was doing anything to help me he harassed and followed all midwives and doctors even those not dealing with me all round the ward until someone came to see me and immediately ordered an emergency CS. I wasnt as scared as I should have been because I knew he wouldnt let anything happen to me. Am quite tearful writing about that.

He is a star really.

artichokes · 22/11/2007 15:45

  5. He needs less sleep than me so gets up with DD alot in the night

  1. He's an extremely talented artist...
  2. ...but is also a rugby-playing type and was the school cricket captain.
  3. He does all the cooking and is very good at it.
  4. He has great, if quirky, dress sense.
  5. We seem to have the same taste in everything so never have arguments about what music to play, how to decorate the house etc.
Botbot · 25/11/2007 20:42

...and he's officially killed this thread!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 25/11/2007 20:50
