Men are being hacked left right and centre

EpochTime · 23/12/2020 16:54

I'm very concerned that many married men across the land appear to be having their devices hacked in such a way which would lead their wives to infer that they are cheating.
Who are these evil hackers and should this be a matter for Government to discuss in the House?
Hmm

OP posts:
notquitealonealone · 23/12/2020 17:01

Yeah I was wondering that too. Those poor poor men, being put in such an awkward position after hackers downloading dating and chat apps to their devices. must be so awful for them.

PerhapsOverlyWorried · 23/12/2020 18:31

Eh? Married men are being hacked? By who and for what purpose? Absolutely not something for the government to discuss, it’s for the providers of the software they’re using to discuss though... (e.g, if Facebook has been hacked, it’s an issue for Facebook to deal with. Government has slightly more pressing matters atm...)

PerhapsOverlyWorried · 23/12/2020 18:32

Oh never mind, just realised that you weren’t being serious! Sorry! Grin

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 23/12/2020 18:33

@PerhapsOverlyWorried I think op is being sarcastic and the men in question are guilty but claiming they have been hacked.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 23/12/2020 18:33

Oh cross post, sorry!

Alys20 · 23/12/2020 18:36

The "government" shouldn't be discussing anything, it should be sectioned en masse ASAP.

Sorry OP, triggered by the G word. Men that cheat and lie can fuck off as well.

Overlyworried you really need to reassess you priorities. Are you suggesting that Covid and brexit issues are more pressing than the national pandemic of men's phones being hacked? There is obviously some sinister plot behind this move to try to discredit the men by trying to convince their significant others that they are cheating. Hmm... perhaps the floristry and chocolate industries are behind it...

I really feel sorry for all those men who didn't even notice the dating apps on their phones or the subscription money leaving their bank account. WHERE THE HELL IS BORIS WHEN ALL THIS IS GOING ON?

PerhapsOverlyWorried · 23/12/2020 18:46

@CircleofWillis you’re absolutely right, how utterly daft a woman I am, and selfish to boot thinking Covid is more important than those poor men. I think you’re on to something there with the florists and chocolate industries being behind it. Shall we organise a group to go around explaining to these poor men’s wives that their husbands are actually innocent and they needn't worry their pretty little heads over the matter? Someone must take control to ensure the men aren’t harmed by this dastardly plot of hacking.

PicsInRed · 23/12/2020 18:47

Netflix and Hack?

CircleofWillis · 23/12/2020 18:48

cross post overly - I see you sussed it!

MrsGrindah · 23/12/2020 18:51

And it’s going viral. The hackers don’t just get into emsill accounts, they set up fake profiles on dating sites, escort sites etc. They send rogue messages to younger work colleagues saying how pretty they look. This thing goes deep.

Hoppinggreen · 23/12/2020 18:55

It’s the Russians
They could be raiding bank accounts but instead they are making it look like married men are cheating

Love you OP - brilliant Grin

GCAcademic · 23/12/2020 21:23

Sadly, the entire universe conspires against these poor men. Life can be so cruel. Thoughts and prayers for these victims.

AuntyFungal · 23/12/2020 21:24

Shocking. Shocking I tell you.

How about I.T. night classes for the poor lambs. A block of 10 at the local bistro with one to one tuition.

firecracker69 · 23/12/2020 21:28

I've yet to hear of any women who have been hacked. How very strange indeed! These Yuletide hackers appear to be blatantly sexist.

Treeerex · 23/12/2020 21:28

I think its linked to covid. First covid cancelled sports, closed the pubs and bloody well now this.

Will someone please think of the poor, poor men. clutches pearls and sniffs the smelling salts

nosswith · 24/12/2020 06:58

@Treeerex you forgot working from home preventing after work meetings as well!

Anniegetyourgun · 24/12/2020 07:27

Don't be ridiculous. Of course they're not being hacked. It's a new technique doing the rounds to test their wives' faith (you know, like God strategically placing dinosaur bones). And the wives are pretty consistently failing. It's sad, but these are the times we live in. Nobody trusts anybody any more.

I love this threadGrin

More money needs to be spent on protecting these men. The Russians are trying to destabilise the very fabric of our society.
