How many times have you been in love?

I'm in my 30's and been in love three times so far. Currently single and wondering how many more loves I might have. I hope it's just one more and it will be the love of my life!

Tell me, how many loves have you had so far?

I'm almost 40. I had 2 obsession (limerance) type infatuations, 1 very long relationship and 1 love of my life type (it didn't work out for various reasons). Currenyly wondering whether I am in love with someone new. I don't believe in 'forever' though.

Twice (I'm almost 37).

I think I lose count. As @Viviene says, some of them were mostly just crushes, though.

Once. We've been together for over 1/3 of my life. Long may it last.

One more, where I thought I loved him but in fact it was just obsessive limerance.

I would say 3 times (2 serious relationships of 4+ years and then dh). We’ve been together 11 years now. I’m 39. I hope that’s it. I can’t imagine having to go through it all again.

If you are talking about romantic love (which I assume you are) once. Like a pp, for various reasons it didnt/couldn't work out.

After 40years, I'm ok with that. I've made a good life, that has a lot of love in it, just not of the romantic type

I think 5, but 2 of those were probably more of a limerance thing and were going nowhere.

I don't believe in the one "love of your life", I've been happy and in love in each of my 3 serious relationships and as much as I love and adore my DH - if we ever split up or he died - I don't think I'd never find love again.

1. Firstly with one that didn't work out and I always thought was the love of my life. Secondly with exH, who whilst I loved him dearly deep down I missed the first. And now with DH, which is different again because we were friends first (first guy is also no longer the love of my life - that's dh).

Before current partner I’d have said 3. But when we got together I remember thinking “oh, right, this is what it’s like”, so maybe really just once.

(We’re 11 years, several parental-serious-illnesses, 3 big house moves, 2 career changes including back to uni for postgrad qualifications, 1 wedding, 1 round of scary fertility treatment and 1 excellent but exhausting small human in and he’s still my favourite person)

Four for me (I'm 45).

Twice, two long relationships, one of which is my marriage. I'm in my 50s.

Once. I've had other crushes and cared for other ppl a great deal but I dont think actual love happens more than once or twice in life. If at all.

Gosh, none. I've thought I was a couple of times but I wasn't.

I'm 45 so given up any real hope of it happening now tbh!

Currently on number 3.

I'm 47. 4 times for me

Once and that's the only relationship I have had 😏. Early thirties and currently single

I'm in my 40s and I think the answer is never. I'm married with kids, but I just don't think I understand romantic love. I can't imagine what it feels like.

Twice. My ex and my current who I've been married to for 10 years. I'm 30. I was with ex 16-20. I'm still in love with him. I'm also in love with my husband.

3 times. The first one I broke his heart, the second I broke his, the third I married.
