I know that this site is about bad relationships, but i feel like i need to say that some people are very happy, and i dont want to upset anyone but i just want to tell you all how much i love my partner and how much he love's me. He's only here for 6 months of the year but he's the most fab guy/dad. He changes all the pooie nappie's when i cant, sends me little treats from work, ie flowers underwear, perfume, wine!! Is desperate for me to send pics of baba when he's not here and cooks like a god when he's at home. So any one have something great to say about there partner or am i the only one?

Tigana · 17/08/2007 23:37

there have been positive threads in the past about great dp/dhs, don't worry!
Sometimes it can get a bit "kill the bastard" on these threads, but usually someone will come along and smooth the waters

HorseyWoman · 17/08/2007 23:39

Yes, my husband's the best. Won't bore any of you.

hotchocscot · 17/08/2007 23:41

hubby makes our ds giggle uncontrollably by doing really stupid funny things that I would never think of. goes to work every day to earn pennies so I can be SAHM and supports me in this decision. and he cooks (or heats up, or microwaves, or fetches from the chippy) tea every night while i bath ds. and brings me a cup of tea around half ten most nights. and doesn't really mind me spending hours on MN.

pinkyminky · 17/08/2007 23:41

swalesie I think you are ok to post this, he sounds lovely.
My DH has his faults like we all do but he really is my best friend and does as much as he can at home. He gets our toddler and baby dressed and breakfasted in the morning and plays with them til he goes to work. When I told a friend this, she said I didn't know what motherhood was. I felt a bit sorry for her, if she thinks motherhood is just about showing what a martyr you are. My husband loves his time with his children.

janestillhere · 17/08/2007 23:42

Mine is asleep too - on the sofa.
He works his socks off (manager for parcel co.) and deals with lots of divvies all day, also coping with lack of communication between depts - which cause lots of probs, and then you can see the tension lift alittle when he comes home and gets sloppy kisses from dd and ds. He's great.

If I post here about how FAB he is, and how much he does to help out......I will be hounded off the board.

A few MNers have had the LGJ/Mr LGJ treatment.............and he is wonderful.

expatinscotland · 17/08/2007 23:58

what are you still doing up, bree?

jemtastic · 17/08/2007 23:58

Yes...DH has just lost his voice ....fantastic!

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 18/08/2007 00:01

EPIS

I am just about to go to bed.

Blu · 18/08/2007 00:05

He is currently an 11 hour flight away - with DS!

jemtastic · 18/08/2007 00:06

What does EPIS mean? DH is whispering vile suggestions in my ears and it really does sound vile when they are whispered!!

ShinyHarryPplHoldingPortkeys · 18/08/2007 00:06

This site is about bad relationships? Where did you get that idea? Even worded wrong can't think what you meant. This section is about relationships... of all kinds. Not just romantic ones.. or romantic ones gone wrong.

I love my DH. We have had our ups and downs and we have a lot to cope with.. but he is my partner in every sense of the word and I wouldn't want to be without him.

jemtastic · 18/08/2007 00:08

Amen

expatinscotland · 18/08/2007 00:09

I will, too, Bree.

But my man is the best.

He really is!

In his praise: I travelled long to meet you, Andrew, but what is for you will not pass you. This is what you taught me.

Scotland gave me all I wanted, in you.

And so I will stay with you.

That is stronger than 'I love you', you know.

Even without having to think on it.
