DH has had a text saying I've cheated

honeybeeq · 31/05/2018 15:41

From a number he doesn't recognise, I don't recognise, nothing on WhatsApp, nothing on Facebook. I haven't cheated. He believes me thank god! How do I find out who this massive dick is?

I'm so angry! I haven't done anything, wtf do I do?

Nothing on snapchat either.. this has to be a bored teenager that has nothing else to do but I'm so angry!

cashmerecardigans · 31/05/2018 15:43

Does it actually name you? Could it have been sent to the wrong person?

hellsbellsmelons · 31/05/2018 15:43

I don't think you can do anything.
Just reassure him.
Be open with all your devices so he can have access when he wants.
Show him you have nothing to hide.

Why are people so fucking vindictive.
As if there isn't enough cheating in the world without making it all up to put strain on a relationship.

I can only imagine it's someone who likes your DH and wants you split up.

TheDrinksAreOnMe · 31/05/2018 15:43

Don't feed it any time. Some nutter did this to me, about 10 years ago, said same nutter sent me messages from her "boyfriend" a few months ago.

Do not give it any air space.

LaundryHepburn · 31/05/2018 15:45

Download either of the apps Me or Truecaller. If the phone is registered to someone the name should come up when you search for the number.

honeybeeq · 31/05/2018 15:45

He's sent me the text it says 'she sat on someone's face' ffs! Get a grip! Okay I'm
Calming down now but what is the need?!

OP posts:
allforequality · 31/05/2018 15:49

Does it specify you or is the face sitter being outed to the wrong number and just happens to have landed with a hetrosexual man in a relationship (in which case the actual face-sitter shall continue to park her lady bits unhindered & the intended recipient will continue to be unaware...).

Mysterious!

Gemini69 · 31/05/2018 15:51

try putting the number into Facebook...

honeybeeq · 31/05/2018 15:54

Nope doesn't specify me, just she sat on someone's face you should probably know. Now I have DH sending me 'Sit on my face' by Monty Python 😂Grin I'm
So glad he hasn't believed it. I've said he can go through my phone and iPad if he wants but all he'll find is stuff about our house move and me emailing Jo Malone about my missing cologne Blush

It doesn't come up with anything. It's like the number doesn't exist. But it clearly does because it texted him.

PotteringAlong · 31/05/2018 15:55

Is it not a bored teenager who has just sent a random message to a number they’ve made up?

honeybeeq · 31/05/2018 15:56

Yes I think it is @PotteringAlong just had a response to my who is this and it's just emojis 🤦‍♀️

OP posts:
gamerchick · 31/05/2018 15:57

Have you tried ringing it?

gamerchick · 31/05/2018 15:59

Do the cat facts prank on them if you want to annoy them. Teach the bugger a lesson

honeybeeq · 31/05/2018 15:59

Aha! I have a Facebook hit! I was searching in the wrong bit Looks to be a 13 year old boy from lewisham.. 🤦‍♀️

OP posts:
MrsHappyAndMrCool · 31/05/2018 16:01

Ok

MyKingdomForBrie · 31/05/2018 16:01

Weird, Facebook shouldn’t do that anymore following the privacy changes.

Just block the number and forget about it, your DH clearly trusts you!

Dynamitewithalaserbeam · 31/05/2018 16:05

I bet he has no privacy settings in which case you can tell on him to his mum Grin

Pollaidh · 31/05/2018 16:08

This happened to a friend once - met a friendly person on a train, they chatted during the journey, nothing untoward happened. Then this weirdo found them on social media using first name, subject, university info freely exchanged during the conversation. Weirdo then sent message to the girlfriend saying they were having an affair. Utter madness.

Think you are doing the right thing being entirely open, and it sounds like you have a strong relationship with your DH so try not to worry too much.

Heydiddlydee · 31/05/2018 16:11

If you've found him on Facebook, look at his friends... the chances are his parents are on there. Send it to his mum & then send him a text telling him what you've done. It freaks teenagers out that you can trace them so easily on the internet. I did something similar to a 14 year old boy who sent me an awful message. His mum made him ring me up to apologise... she was mortified that his was typing such stuff at his age.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 31/05/2018 16:12

I'd tell the boy's parents.

PotteringAlong · 31/05/2018 16:13

What a knob. I agree, shop him to his parents and send him a text telling him you’ve done just that Grin

ShotsFired · 31/05/2018 16:14

Does this 13 year old boy have any friends who look like they could be mums or dads or older relations? Maybe worth messaging them a screenshot of what he's doing.

Failing that, find secondary schools in Lewisham and contact them with his profile.

(because you probably aren't the only one and this could cause serious issues for other people - you just have to look at some of the total cunts people have as partners on here to know it could be disastrous)

AnnieAnoniMouser · 31/05/2018 16:14

Ah. Brilliant. You should be able to get at least one of his parents details, and his school 😁. That’ll teach the little shit!

I’m glad it hasn’t caused you any problems with your DH 😊

Ginkypig · 31/05/2018 16:18

I'd definitely be telling his parents or if I can't find them you probably will find his school either on his page/photos or his friends. so I'd put in a call there.

woder · 31/05/2018 16:24

That could cause so much trouble for some couples, dob him in.
