we don't have anyone to invite round who's friends with us both - how sad do i sound - or they have kids.

dp and I used to have coffee and canasta nights - played canasta which is really addictive and drank Baileys coffee!

Can't justify the cost of a babysitter i'm afraid. Do have a babysitting circle but it doesn't seem to be working very well!

We play games (scrabble, boggle, chinese chequers...). We also put on CDs and both do projects while chatting (e.g. I make a photo album while he does stuff on the PC). We do a lot of cooking and eating together. Mainly we just gossip though.

We love Singstar here. dh really worked on his Avril Lavigne. We make people who come over play this with us too, initially they're a bit shy but they go wild.

I chat or MN while he unwinds then we watch tv have a drink (sometimes) go to bed have sex (sometimes) watch more tv then sleep.

Occasionally we go out or have friends round or one of us goes out.

The theme thing sounds great. We went to a 1980s party last week - dh in wig mullet (yes, really) and I found fingerless lace gloves and a crucifix, and acid green socks. Was fab. Have people over for a themed night of something, with food.

brilliant - i'm so tired once DS is in bed esp while preg i'm happy just to veg - but we're having an our relationship is stale moment - all comments gratefully received!

can you take turns going out if you can't get a babysitter? I always find a few evenings away from each other makes you more appreciative when you get the time together iyswim.

At the moment DP goes out and i don't very often so one idea is i start going out regularly - so he gets a night in on his own. But it's proving quite difficult to find people to go out with so may try a club or class!
