DP says our life is dull - what do you do once the kids are in bed?

both like stand up so borrow or rent some every so often.

DeviousDaffodil · 17/05/2007 19:51

You both like to stand up?
Must be very uncomfortable.

moondog · 17/05/2007 19:53

Talk,cook,drink wine.
Not tv.
Ever.
Destroyer of marital and familial intimacy.

missmarpleofgoogle · 17/05/2007 19:53

you could both investigate unsolved crimes using google

southeastastra · 17/05/2007 19:54

haha

DeviousDaffodil · 17/05/2007 19:54

LOL miss marple.
Cluedo anyone ( not the psychic version though!)

mylittlestar · 18/05/2007 09:00

great ideas on here - loving the 24 drinking games!

theSelfishMan · 18/05/2007 09:27

moondog speaks truth - have a no-tv night.

get him a little drunk. chat, laugh, plan a holiday, talk about how you're going to embarrass the DC when theyve grown up due to .

If he's at all interesting, learn to cook something different - something hands on can be fun.

elclose · 18/05/2007 09:32

play ballderdash but a rude version we swap all the words for rude dirty or swear words then play but better in groups

JodieG1 · 18/05/2007 09:41

Apparently Kiefer Sutherland heard about those drinking games, students were playing them over there and they had to drink every time Jack said Dammit, so he added lots of dammits in

AnneJones · 18/05/2007 10:24

On the rare evening that we manage to prise ourselves away from the TV (CSI is on all the time now!) we play backgammon or cards. It is lovely to pas the time sharing something and we both feel better for it. Thouhg I newarly always lose. Must get Trivial Pursuit - reckon I could whup DP's ass with that....

PetronellaPinkPants · 18/05/2007 12:53

am with moondog

cook, chat, listen to music, glass of wine.

DVDs sometimes from LoveFilm

Very occasionally TV

hayes · 18/05/2007 12:59

We don't manage a lot of time alone as my older kids don't go to bed till 10, but at 10 we watch a CSI then at 11, check news headlines then switch off. One of us makes a nice cup of tea and then we have a chat/laugh/moan about our day. Sounds really boring but it works for us, I love that time of night.

at weekends we play the nintendo wii with the kids then when they are in bed we challenge each other

filthymindedvixen · 18/05/2007 13:08

You could alsways try University Challenge. Every time you get a question right, you get to squeeze him, every time he gets a question right, he gets to squeeze you....

PregnantGrrrl · 18/05/2007 13:29

we eat, have a cuddle, sometimes we play scrabble or watch a film. DP has a beer or 10, we talk about our day. Then we go to bed insanely early- to sleep.

I actually like the quiet time we get once DS is asleep.
