Hand hold until I can talk to DH?

Was trying to be helpful and look for DH's iPad. Found some condoms which we never use. They expire in May 2020 so I'm guessing bought fairly recently. Also found a new size 12 suspender belt and some L/XL stockings in the same bag, again, not my size.

I think I've suspected something for a while. Obviously I may be totally wrong, but the way the condoms are ripped, one set of four and one two makes it look like a couple have been used.

I've left it all on DS's changing mat. I'm not sure what to do with it.

Not sure why I'm posting. I just need a hand hold I guess.

Hand hold OP Flowers

That's shit. You must be feeling awful. Are you planning to confront him when you see him or hold your fire till you can see what else might be going on?

GummyGoddess · 08/05/2018 13:32

I'm not good at the emotional hand holding, I'm better with the practical side. I would suggest that you spend the day collecting copies of all important documents like bank and pension statements just in case, the search might take your mind off of the cause?

I hope there's a reasonable explanation for you when you see him, I'm sorry.

FilledSoda · 08/05/2018 13:34

Dear God , when's he due back?
Can you have a friend of family member come over ?
It's so horrible and shocking just try not to let the emotion of it all drive you crazy.
There will be answers and decisions , one step at a time.

Gazelda · 08/05/2018 13:40

So sorry OP.
Definitely got important docs together today, and try to gather your thoughts before he comes home.

BalaBrith · 08/05/2018 13:42

Oh my god, I'm so sorry OP.
I hope you can clear your head a bit before you do see him. Agree, regarding getting important documents together.
Thanks

dontticklethetoad · 08/05/2018 13:47

Bastard.

Agree with pp. Get copies/take photos of important docs.
Take a photo of the condoms etc so that he can't get rid and deny/gas light. Is there a receipt in the bag?

HappyGirl86 · 08/05/2018 13:47

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry, what an awful way to find out (not that there is a good way of course)
When is he due Home?

LongWalkShortPlank · 08/05/2018 13:48

Definitely get yours and your children's important documents together just in case this snowballs into something nasty. Passports, birth certificates, bank stuff etc. I'm sorry hun.

Lorddenning1 · 08/05/2018 13:53

Shampaincharly · 08/05/2018 13:54

handhold;

Nannyplumssillyoldelf · 08/05/2018 13:59

Another one hand holding.

IHateToCashew · 08/05/2018 14:10

I'm sorry Blush I'm going to look a right idiot now.

I called DH because I couldn't wait, he had no idea what I was going on about. I went rummaging for more evidence, and found the invoice from Ann summers, and noticed all the labels sewn onto the clothes.

It's my brothers bag, not DH's. I forgot we were storing it for him.

Text DB who's mortified. And DH is going to think I'm an idiot.

Thank you all so much for the quick hand hold though. It really is lovely to know mumsnet is there when you need it.

Oh gosh, how stressful. Thank goodness it wasn’t DHs but still a horrible shock.

GummyGoddess · 08/05/2018 14:12

That's fantastic news Grin congrats on your mistake! I'm sure you'd much rather feel a bit of an idiot than have to deal with such a horrible problem.

IHateToCashew · 08/05/2018 14:14

Thanks Gummy!

I'm going to run some cake down the road in a bit Grin try to apologise!

IHateToCashew · 08/05/2018 14:20
