I left my emotionally abusive ex on Friday, tonight my 2 boys are snoring in bunk beds in our (rented 2 bed flat) on top of the world!!! Chicken dinner and a slightly prolonged bedtime, amazing, chin up ladies in difficult relationships, there is light. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well done! That's great news.

Worldsworstcook · 28/01/2018 23:37

That's the spirit!! Here's to nights with your boys unlike your DP sitting in a lonely house and cursing your bravery.

Keep smiling OP. You've done the hard bit

Inthedeepdarkwinter · 28/01/2018 23:38

Thank you for posting this! I’m currently in what I’m starting to see as an emotionally and financially abusive relationship and seeing you’ve been able to leave gives me hope that one day I’ll be strong enough to do so as well. Enjoy your new freedom!

escorpion · 28/01/2018 23:44

UPDATE
Well I've been out for 6 months and I can honestly say leaving was the best decision I've ever made. The children are happy and settled with excellent school reports. They have regular contact with their dad. I'm loving and living life, working, parenting and socialising.

I decided to dabble with OLD and have met a lovely guy in a similar situation. For those in a shitty relationship worried about leaving GO FOR IT!!!! Everyone deserves to be happy!!!!! Xxx😘😘😘😘😘😘
