SHIT- I think I need to cancel my wedding

DP has told me that he would like to wear this on our wedding day.

At first I thought he was joking, but now I think he is serious. I just don't know how to go about cancelling. Telling DP will be hard enough - but what about all the family and friends. I am so embaressed and feel like such a fool.

why on earth not Nadine?

pasteur · 08/04/2007 21:01

HppyDaddy - would you suggest wearing a dress - even if it was a wind-up.

I mean this is serious it is not wind-up territory as far as I am concerned.

HoppyDaddy · 08/04/2007 21:02

pasteur, you need to be asking your man this, not us. If you can't even talk to him about this, what hope does your relationship have?

morningpaper · 08/04/2007 21:05

Tell us what the other "twists" are

NadineBaggott · 08/04/2007 21:05

don't know why you're worried, he'll look lovely

ScoobyDooooo · 08/04/2007 21:05

This is a trip trapp i would walk away now ladies & men

dumbymummy · 08/04/2007 21:06

How the f* did you do that, Baggot? I am full of admiration.

EasterSparklerEgg · 08/04/2007 21:06

NB

dumbymummy · 08/04/2007 21:07

What's a trip trapp?

PregnantGrrrl · 08/04/2007 21:08

i can't remember if Nadine Baggot is the name of a make-up artist or a hairdresser in an advert...

Either way, perhaps you could offer some advice for the big day?

ScoobyDooooo · 08/04/2007 21:08

lol NB

morningpaper · 08/04/2007 21:09

Yes is he a MANLY man or do you suspect he harbours some confusion about his gender?

Is he broad and wears pink shirts with chest hair poking through, or is he slightly girlie and has trouble chewing meat?

pasteur · 08/04/2007 21:10

Nah - he's got no goaty!!!

The other twists?

The main one was that I was going to wait at teh alter and he was going to walk down the ailse. Do you think that might be why he wants the dress?

morningpaper · 08/04/2007 21:12

I have visions of you in a lovely three-piece gray suit and him mincing down the aisle looking like Jordan

I think you need to sit down and have a chat

p.s. Have you noticed that any of your clothes are slightly mis-shapen, like someone has been WEARING them.... ?

bristols · 08/04/2007 21:12

Nadine Baggott - celebrity beauty editor. Knows much about pentapeptides. Would be ideal to get skin in shape for the big day!

dumbymummy · 08/04/2007 21:12

Nadine Baggot - Pentapeptides, Oil of Olay (Ulay) Regenerise cream. The cream is fantastic, incidentally, but I had more wrinkles than her at six. She's had botox.

monkeytrousers · 08/04/2007 21:13

Oh, talk to him quick and then come tell us what he says!

pasteur · 08/04/2007 21:29

PANIC OVER

He has just been out to teh bathroom. I asked him about it and he assurems me that it was just about him wanting to add to teh "walking down the aisle" twist. I think I believe him.

Thankyou for your comments

HoppyDaddy · 08/04/2007 21:31

So you panicked over a joke? You could have asked him much earlier, you know.

NadineBaggott · 08/04/2007 21:32

go and relax with some hamster stew

or get your cat to play with a football

and when you DO get married don't nick the soap from the hotel

WatsonAndCrick · 08/04/2007 21:33

Well I am PMSL at all your comments more than mine!!!

bristols · 08/04/2007 21:38

So you are related to pasteur. Good call, Nadine

monkeytrousers · 09/04/2007 07:50

Well I don't know. The fact that you didn't know if he was serious or not makes me think you need to do some serious work before the marriage. Just a thought.

meowmix · 09/04/2007 08:21

quite agree MT. if DH said this to me I'd know he was kidding and whats more would go along with it, taking him seriously, till he had to back down
