Helloooo,

To cut a long story short I have found out that my partner has been using the adultwork website as I've seen a few emails of him making payments. He has told em that he has watched a few videos and messaged a couple of people to comment on the video he has watched 😥 BUT I have also seen emails where some of the users have left him feedback, I cannot access the account therefore I can't see what it says or what it was for.. my question is what services are they able to leave feedback for on this site.. as far as I can see from googling myself you can online send or receive feedback once a booking to meet or talk to someone has been made.. is this the only times as I would like to know fully what I'm dealing with and exactly what he has done to decide what I want to do about this situation! Any extra info on how this site work would be greatly appreciated too! He is back tonight for us to talk and I would really like to know as much as I can to get the full story out of him 😫
Thanks in advance

I have a friend who uses this site as a webcam girl, you can book in for a private webcam show basically. The feedback is to how good the girl's webcam performance was and the service providers can also feedback as to how good the customers are, whether payment was prompt, etc. Bit like eBay really.

It's hard to know exactly what he has done as my friend says some girls do offer private arrangements but this is all separate from the website as obviously offering sex services is illegal.

loveyoutothemoon · 14/07/2017 14:57

Just had a look and tried to suss it out for you. Could he have just viewed pictures? Would it be possible that the feedback request was from him sending a video in? Not that it makes it OK to do that. Has he been acting suspicious ie being out at strange times, not being where he says etc?

loveyoutothemoon · 14/07/2017 14:58

Webcam performances would be a deal breaker for me.

Adora10 · 14/07/2017 15:00

Punters and escorts leave feedback on each other's performance and general attitude etc. I don't know about videos.

Adora10 · 14/07/2017 15:00

Either way he is paying for sex.

HirplesWithHaggis · 14/07/2017 15:02

Offering sexual services is not illegal and AW probably features more "escorts" than camgirls. Where a sex worker (either cam or RL) is booked via the AW system, feedback can be left by either party. Sex workers can assure one another that a client isn't dangerous etc, though I gather it's rare for really bad feedback to be given (for fear of retaliation, either online on in RL).

If your dh has feedback, he has engaged the services of sex workers, either on cam or in RL. Sorry, OP.

thesleepingdogsarelying · 14/07/2017 15:02

If your real name is the same as your username- you need to report your post.

prettyinpink123 · 14/07/2017 15:31

Thank you for all the advice, that definitely wasn't what I wanted to hear but was what I thought would be the case as I didn't see a way of leaving feedback from just watching a video when I investigated the site myself.
To be honest this came as a complete shock to me, he hadn't been acting overly strange to make me concerned about anything, but when I looked at the dates of the messages/payments and feedbacks it did co inside with when I wasn't around or when he had told me he was going somewhere. I don't personally think he has been and met someone but to me for feedback to have been left I fear he would have had to of uploaded a video himself or had a live chat with one of girls on there 😓

OP posts:
Adora10 · 14/07/2017 15:35

If he's brazen enough to upload a video of himself he's brazen enough to use the escorts on the site; don't be too easily fooled OP.

He needs to give you access to his account and to let you read the actual feedback but no doubt by now, he's removed all traces of evidence.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 14/07/2017 15:41

The payment amounts should/could give you some indication of what services he has used.

You could also search his username to see what girls are saying about him and get an indication on whether he has physically met someone by their feedback.

The act of registering on AW for any service (cam or outcall) is itself pretty damning though.

loveyoutothemoon · 14/07/2017 15:46

Does he know what you want to talk to him about? If not, I'd hang fire and think about what you're going to say/what he's likely to come out with.

cigarettesandcush · 14/07/2017 15:53

Feedback can be left for cam as well as in calls. But the amount he's spending should give you an idea. Clients deposit an amount of money into their AW account and then that gives them AW credits which are deducted when they view cams or enter private shows etc.

HirplesWithHaggis · 14/07/2017 15:56

No-one gets or leaves feedback for videos. He's had contact. As a pp said, look at the amounts he's paying out. If it's small sums (under £50) he's engaging camgirls, who are paid via AW credits. If he's making cash withdrawals of £100+, he's seeing escorts, who are usually paid cash.

prettyinpink123 · 14/07/2017 15:58

The amounts he has been putting on there has been £30's and £20's here and there, I have tried using the search system to search his username and the usernames of the girls who have messaged etc but I can't seem to find any of them, I'm wondering if I'm trying to search wrong? Anyone know how I can do it as it always just comes up with no results found for all of them :/ I initially asked him to deactivate the account but he said he couldn't find anywhere to do it n he changed the email on the account deleted that email account and also changed the password on AW but apparently imputed random letters and numbers and doesn't know it he is not willing to allow me access to his account which also raises a flag for me x

Adora10 · 14/07/2017 16:03

So he won't give you access, I hope you have his bags packed OP.

Adora10 · 14/07/2017 16:03

Red flat, no a red flag is a warning, you've got your proof.

KimKardashiansArse · 14/07/2017 16:16

LTB

That's my first one. I don't often think it either but this would be a deal-breaker for me.

KimKardashiansArse · 14/07/2017 16:17

OP - you're posting under a different user name. It will make it hard for people to find your replies.

Ellisandra · 14/07/2017 16:21

You poor love.

Preserve your dignity and just get rid of him. You don't have to talk. You certainly don't have to talk tonight.

You do know it's utter bullshit, about the password reset, yes?

Of course he doesn't want you to see the evidence. Why on earth would he change the email, delete the email, oh and for good measure enter random password? Come on lovey, you know that's not how new passwords work - you enter it, you enter it again. And he deleted an email account? Please.

He is keeping you out of that account because of the evidence.

My XH used it to book prostitutes, and had feedback left for him twice (out of many more bookings - so I don't think it's that common to leave it)

He never paid anything via AW, and actually the bookings weren't confirmed on it anyway. Without the feedback it would have "only" been circumstantial evidence.

He would message asking for a booking with his mobile number. Then it all seemed to take place via mobile. Most of the replies were more if they were saying "sorry Hun (there was a lot of Hun!) missed this, I'm working Tue and Thu next week though" (he seemed to not plan ahead at all - which was him all over!)

So if you do get access and see no confirmed bookings or payments, that means nothing.

I know how hard it is to walk away when you want to know exactly what has happened. But you really are best just walking away now. He has been paying other women for sexual services - and he thinks you're thick as two short planks and will believe his shit about deleted email addresses from desperation.

Angry
Ellisandra · 14/07/2017 16:22

First step though lovely - just cancel talking to him tonight.

Counterpane · 14/07/2017 16:27

OP, as thesleepingdogsarelying said, if that opening post username is your real name you need to get this thread taken down.

There is only one active facebook profile with that name and it is open and accessible to everyone.

prettyinpink123 · 14/07/2017 16:35

I don't know how to :/

Counterpane · 14/07/2017 16:38

Just report it to Mumsnet HQ and then re-post under your new username.

ChickaaaaannDipppaaaaassss · 14/07/2017 16:39

I used the site about 10 years ago.
I'd put pictures of myself in my pants in a private gallery and punters would pay credits to view them. After you reach a certain amount the website send you a check (minus their fee) and you cash it.
I also used to use the sex line function on it.
The escorting side is what it is mostly used for though and cam work.
I had a punter ask for an hour of my time in this respect.

The amount of shit these girls put themselves through before meeting these sad old fucks was an eye opener. I never went through with it.
Essentially, the bloke will send the woman a message via the site and arrange exactly what he wants - For a 15 minute quickie to a whole night. All of this is (or at least was back in my day) displayed on the escorts page along with rates for each option.
When I was on there all payments were made via the site. I would imagine these would be called something very innocent on a bank statement.
That's where I'd start the digging.
If that's not the case anymore, I'd be looking on bank statements for mysterious payments coming out.
Sorry you're going through this op Sad

The 20s and 30s are they in quick succession ? Could he have saved hem up to avoid suspicion ?
