Do people ever leave them behind

OP posts:
QuiteLikely5 · 06/07/2017 20:43

Yes of course they do

user1499288566 · 06/07/2017 20:47

Do you know someone who has been on coke

OP posts:
TheNaze73 · 06/07/2017 20:47

Depends on the person & the drug of choice. Some people dabble for old time's sake with mj & a bit of coke from time to time but, I think stuff like Heroin must be hard to take or leave

user1499288566 · 06/07/2017 20:53

It was coke only I'm never fully at ease in my mind that it's done, his nose is never right either blocked or running, he says it's the damage from his past but shouldn't that have cleared up

OP posts:
DandySeaLioness · 06/07/2017 20:56

it does clear up pretty quick if you're not using..

user1499288566 · 06/07/2017 20:58

Have you witnessed that? Do you no much about it

OP posts:
TestTubeTeen · 06/07/2017 20:59

I know loads of people who used coke in their 20s an 30s and then stopped once they stopped socialising in the same way. Usually co inciding with marriage, kids, taking career and promotion more seriously etc.

People CAN stop, whether they do or not, well that's case by case!

Funnyfarmer · 06/07/2017 21:00

Do you think someone is using Op?

DandySeaLioness · 06/07/2017 21:01

me? yes, I'm speaking from experience. It's also very difficult to quit without the right mindset.

user1499288566 · 06/07/2017 21:02

I don't no much about it but I would like to no if even coke has been abused in past are you left with nose problems still after I have no one to ask who would no

OP posts:
Funnyfarmer · 06/07/2017 21:03

I know a fair few people who have used coke regular in the past. The blocked/runny nose usually clears up in a few days. The sniffling can cause s Habbit like they'll keep on sniffling even though there's nothing to sniffle iyswim?

Funnyfarmer · 06/07/2017 21:06

Not that I know of sorry.
How long ago was he using?
Could hayfever be a possibility?

user1499288566 · 06/07/2017 21:09

Well I think he has been off good few years now but his nose is horrible it's never right he has said in past it's allegies but I don't think it it's bad enough to be content thing

OP posts:
tigerdriverII · 06/07/2017 21:10

They might have hay fever y'know

tigerdriverII · 06/07/2017 21:10

Oops cross post

tigerdriverII · 06/07/2017 21:11

I have never had hay fever but have spent this summer sniffling

MrsTerryPratchett · 06/07/2017 21:14

I could tell after five seconds with him. It's a gift after years in the addictions world!

Is he chatty then not, teeth clench or grinding, social then not, sleep bad, keeping weird hours, off food, disappearing with no explanation, boring? That says coke.

Coke isn't truly physically addictive like alcohol or heroin but it is massively psychologically addictive. And people leave it behind every day. However many don't...

user1499288566 · 06/07/2017 21:16

There has been times recently where he has put tissue up on nostril to stop it running

OP posts:
Funnyfarmer · 06/07/2017 21:18

Is there any difference in his behaviour?
Or is it just the nose thing that has you suspicious?

user1499288566 · 06/07/2017 21:20

He can be nice one weekend and funny the next snappy saying things blanking me being short with me ect

OP posts:
ThatVogueLife · 06/07/2017 21:20

I think there must be long lasting effects surely?

Beelzebop · 06/07/2017 21:21

Speaking from unfortunate personal experience he sounds like he is still using. Ask him to go to the Dr, see how he reacts. Surely he would want it sorted if he didn't know it was because of the Coke he is currently using?

user1499288566 · 06/07/2017 21:21

His attitudes can change a lot and his moods but people can be that way I guess

OP posts:
user1499288566 · 06/07/2017 21:23

Iv asked loads go to the doctors it much be annoying ect but he don't he not really the doctors type with anything

OP posts:
MrsTerryPratchett · 06/07/2017 21:25

I'd be suspicious. What about money? Coke isn't cheap.
